Congrats to everyone on the wonderful NSVs. I love that we get to document them somewhere. It makes this seem so much more worth it, as the scale lies frequently (at least that's my opinion)!!

Anyways, we went shopping today and I bought a pair of pants, and a couple of shirts, all one size smaller than what I've been in. Totally made my day. I wanted to buy more of them, but only bought a few because I plan on losing lot's more!!

I was cold this AM and put on a pr. of my DH's thermal underwear. They are mediums and are baggy on me. In previous yrs. when I'd try to wear these they were so tight that the crotch was halfway to my knees.

I am under tremendous stress right now with marital problems and haven't once turned to food for comfort.

Lilybelle, I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems but you really should take pride in the fact that you have new ways of dealing with it instead of turning to food. That part is wonderful, and I'm sure the rest will work itself out. Everyone on the board is here to support you -- you're such an inspiration and an important part of what makes this board what it is!

My NSV is that I went to my hometown for the weekend and I got LOTS of compliments from my family, since they hadn't seen me for a while. It was sooo great to hear good things the whole weekend! Also, I ate a little more than I should've, but I stayed mostly on plan and I actually got up early and ran both Saturday and Sunday morning.

I ran 4 times around this park that I used to always walk around when I was growing up. My friends and I would go on diets and walk around that park all the time, and it felt so good to actually run around it 4 times without stopping, which equaled about 1.6 miles. I never imagined I could do that!!

Default four month anniversary

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, and what an NSV! I pulled this out from my old posts, written on August 30th, 2006:

Quote:
Maybe I'm coming down from my initial "I'm going to exercise and lose weight!" high, I'm not sure - but time seems to be slowing down. I've been at this for a month, the number on the scale is at least 6 pounds less than it was a month ago…. Guess I have to remember this is only the beginning.. maybe once I'm four months into it, it will be a little different, having four months to look back on. I hope I'm around four months from now for a five-month-eversary.

Okay, I have to change my thinking. It will all be fine this is entirely do-able and worth it! I have to continue to believe that and in time I will see results... I'll check back in four months time, meanwhile I'm back to the gym tomorrow or the day after, to complete my goal of my first month at the gym!
I have been here 4 months. I have lost 30 pounds. I have eaten well for the most part. I had been exercising regularly for a while and learned a lot while I was doing it - do intend to resume it regularly than the sporadic work-outs I now do. I am getting closer to weighing the lowest I weighed 3 years ago before I ballooned up to my highest ever weight! And I am being totally healthy about it!

Thumbs up Finally a good thing

I finally made it through an exercise session without gasping for air and whining the entire time. Okay - admittedly - at certain points I was going about half the pace that cardio video was going. But - I was tickled because I actually made it........ the first time for me in many many many moons...

Thanks so much for the support ladies. Things are really bad. He didn't even come home from work today. So , not sure what is in store. I have been having to force myself to eat. I can't let myself get sick. I'm trying to be strong and make it through this.

Lilybelle, I am so very sorry to hear this. I really hope things work out for you. Please, please take care of yourself. For the short time that I have been here at 3FC I have been truly inspired by you. You have been a great motivator for me. You are so strong and have come so far, you can and will get through this as well. But please do remember to take care of yourself.
