So far so good. I'm down 3.6 pounds this week and that surprises me. I've managed to clean up my diet in some really positive ways. I've cut caffeine down to 1 small cup per day and substituting it with herbal tea with nothing added. By eliminating multiple cups I also eliminate all the half and half and artificial sweetener I add to it. I do make room for a treat every day but I still find myself drifting at times to things that aren't a treat and I absolutely don't need i.e. bite size Snickers and Butterfinger bars, chocolate chips
My concern this week is being out of town Tuesday-Friday to a conference. My vow is to remain conscious of all my previous week's efforts and be a selective eater.
Great job to all who loss lbs, inches, moved to new sizes. Keep up the great work
To all like me, we've got this. We just need a little more time
I'm up .4 from last week. I chose to eat what I wanted for most of last week, after starting off on a good foot, smh. My Pastor spoke about giving into the flesh and allowing it to rule you. I had already decided Saturday evening that I would get back on track Sunday and he reaffirmed it. Hoping this will be a better week Today has been a good day minus my water intake (for now)
Just checking in to tell everyone that we CAN do this!!!!!
Sunday, at church, there was a lady who asked if I had lost weight because "boy it looks like it!" I was over the moon! I've been kind of upset because the only people who seem to be able to tell that I am losing weight is the ones that know that I am on a diet!
It felt really great to be able to say that I was closing in on half way to my goal!
jb1975 - Ahh, it's been the same for me! When I told a friend of mine that I'd lost 60lbs, her jaw dropped and she told me it was crazy since she'd lost 18lbs and she looked sooo different now and everyone everywhere was telling her how amazing she looked (having started at about 5'2, 136). So, that made me feel like crap and completely disrupted all my positive vibes about the changes I saw in my body. I had to remind myself about how much healthier I feel, and I did some before and after pictures to encourage myself again. Just because they don't see it yet doesn't mean we haven't been accomplishing great things so far! You've lost fifty pounds--that's AMAZING!
I think, too, once we're losing after these halfway marks of ours, our progress is going to become very noticeable to people. Just another thing to look forward to when we get there!
Congrats to everyone who lost this week! love2be150 & Candidcamster, we didn't have a good one, but I'll be working hard with you guys to turn it around this week. Like you said, love2, we got this!

It took a good 50 to 60 lbs before anyone noticed I had lost weight. I could tell though and I sure felt better and feel better with every pound gone.

Fos, I think some people don't know what to say out of their mouths. And they are so wrapped up in their light shining (spotlight on them) that they can't pay a comment to anyone else. I'm sorry you felt like crap and I feel you because my family's comments have been the ones that bite me the most. But I've learned to forgive them because they too obviously don't know what to say, smh. I look back at my photos also and think wow Rennie, you're doing great. Like Howie with each pound I feel much much better and we will do it together ... YES my friend, WE GOT THIS!!!
I'm doing well right now hope I can keep this up so I can have a nice weigh in next Monday
I have been doing myfitnesspal and weight watchers points plus counting together, so far I'm down to 247.6 which considering I was in the late 250's from binge eating last week, I consider that a success. 3.2 away from my lowest low of 244.4 so far, I'm going to keep pushing! My boyfriend and I broke up last night, we're going to remain friends I just hope it doesn't throw me off plan.

Sorry to hear that. Don't let it derail your success. I know how hard it is to keep from eating during stressful or depressing times. You can do this and try to keep a good attitude!
