for Hamlette. Just wait until everyone sees you at the wedding down 54 lbs.!!! I also have a certain number in mind for a family wedding in upstate NY in February but now I don't think I am going to get to go. It's kind of hard to shift out of that lose weight by such-and-such date/event isn't it? It's so great to set goals but if something happens to upset the plan it's hard to readjust your thinking and maybe set a new goal.
For me the hardest thing is actually getting to a goal, period. I set 165 as my goal but I bet you when I start getting close to that goal I'll readjust it downward. The reason being I have never been able to MAINTAIN my weight. I can lose it but then I let depression, anxiety or some event get me off track and before you know I've gained it back. It feels like I'm either losing or gaining. Never maintaining. That is a bridge I will have to cross when I get to goal. Until then...small goals.
