Hi everyone! I'm glad I found the July thread. I've missed you guys!!! My weight is bouncing around a bit.. but I'm trying to regain my focus. Yay! I'm glad to see you 160's!
I'm down 1 lbs from yesterday and .8 from June 30th. It is still hot here, already 79 degrees F and its only 10am! Its suppose to be almost a 100. At least its good for my water intake. I am also very thankful for my neighbor with the pool!
Sarah, you are right today is a new day! Keep marching along.
Kelly, good job on the loss last month! It's hard to be consistent when you're dealing with a big change like a new job.
Domlacha, I envy you the access to a pool. It's been a bit warm here, mid to high 80s, but the humidity has been low so it hasn't been unbearable. And I have electricity, so I can't really complain.
Texan, the 160s are right around the corner! It's always so motivating to hit a new decade - a nice little psychological boost.
I weighed in at 138.6 this morning, even after eating too many cookies yesterday. As soon as I go a week without seeing 140, I'm changing my ticker!
Yesterday I was OP, and exercised my little tail on. I did 2,500 stairs on the stairstepper. That´s more than I´ve ever done. I´m down 1.3lbs since yesterday and am going to try to have another great one!
Everyone else keep up the hard work. I may not post to you personally, but I read every entry, and am your silent supporter !
I'm going to too....I dont quite know how this works yet but I'll try this out I know I'm starting late so putting my number starting the 4th.

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Independence Day! Have fun but stay safe!
We will be going out of town for a couple of days this weekend. We have found a hotel that has an indoor pool. Hopefully I can get some swimming in while away.
Well, ugh. I did manage to get the bingeing under control and be back on plan the last few days. But I am still paying the price for my loss of control over the weekend - still all the way up at 162. It's amazing and sobering that a few days of poor control could undo the entire month of June's progress. It leads me again to think that 158-162 might wind up being my maintenance range - am definitely doubting my ability to get and stay significantly below 160, much less 155.
It's okay if that happens, I guess - not my first choice, but okay. I am not tall, but I am 40, and built like an ox with a thick solid body. I don't look appreciably overweight even though according to BMI charts I am. I have a rounded belly (which is fine with me) and saddlebags - this is where I carry most of the extra weight. The saddlebags are my genetic heritage - my Ashke**** genes right there. So remaining 10-15 pounds above a technically "healthy" weight really isn't such a terrible thing for me.
Still ... I'd rather get just a little further ...
Good luck and good strength to all, and if you're celebrating the 4th today, enjoy!
(ETA: The asterisking of the second half of Ashke**** has to be the funniest and most ironic fallout of the censorship software I have ever seen.)
Thx Steph! part of my diet plan prior to this job was eating a little bit every 2-3 hours, so now I'm going 8 hrs with only a little water.... Sunday I went for 14 hrs with one chicken strip and a glass of water! So, when my shifts are over I am extremely hungry and to tired to find my will power to say no to a binge. The only reason I haven't gained all my weight back with all the binging is becasue of all the physical activity of the job. If I could just find a balance of diet with the activity, I'd probably be losing like crazy. Plus, being on here daily was a huge help and now I'm at work, in bed, or trying to take care of the house and my 4 children.....
Everyone welcome Silkie Bantam. She's my cousin. I was telling her how supportive everyone is here and how I dropped 20 pounds since I've been posting in here.
Kelly, I hope things get better with your work/eating situation. You know, I was once a manager at Luby's and let me tell you how difficult that was! What made it worse was that I could eat free at any Luby's in the U.S. I gained more than a few pounds on mac and cheese and fried fish until I finally talked to the cook about it and he would start making me things when I was there that wasn't on the menu. For instance, he would grill up shrimp for me with bell peppers and onions and I'd eat them in a tortilla or something. Or he could always make me a plain chicken breast.
Just because you are at DQ doesn't mean they can't make you something else. And if they aren't nice, make them go clean out the walk in freezer. That's what I used to do!!!
