+ bought more plants for the Village yesterday

+ planted four more barrels despite the heat - they look good

+ a trust fund has been set up for young Tricia whose mother died suddenly last week

+ Fair Board meeting tonight - nice to know it will be calm with the new and improved Board

+ finally my veggie garden is tilled and ready to plant

- yesterday was a mostly healthy day. I got a stomach ache at about 5pm. I had a popcycle, dry cherrios and toast after then. Grateful I didn't eat a whole box of soda crackers

- planning for a special weekend... excited. I am working on using all the Beck skills in avoiding a binge weekend. Am hoping for the willingness

- our neighbor put in a new garbage disposal when ours 'died' on Wednesday. Such kindness - DH got the replacement at Lowes and we saved alot of money. Thanks John!!!

- grateful for the neighbor kids that like to earn a little money doing small jobs (I will turn them into gardeners, yet)

+ my AC works - I did not wrap it for the winter as I'm supposed to do

+ going to be able to use Paul's truck (and maybe Paul) to pick up two more half-barrel planters today

+ caught up on Mill bill paying once again

+ dropped a pound of my "mysterious" gain

+ have squash and cucumber plants ready to plant today

- despite being at a restaurant last night... I made good choices for dinner at the restaurant. Grateful. My salad with salmon and feta - I put half of the cube fetta to the side and left it. YAY

- we are now at DS's. So nice to be here. Grateful.

+ Saturday was a "me" day of gardening

+ resisted Karen's plea to go to the chicken BBQ with her

+ wild phlox has made my field a mass of mauve and white and is loaded with butterflies

+ Christina gave me some rare heirloom tomato plants

+ front porch flower boxes look great!

+ dinner "date" tonight with Ernie for his Masonic Lodge Ladies' Night

+ Village planting is now down to a manageable task - two more barrels and the entry sign

- food right on target all day....grateful for the sanity. ....until bedtime when I ate the things I resisted all day. Grateful that today is a new day.

- little Maya let me hold her and rock her to sleep - she let me settle her a couple tmes

- Alex is so sweet around his little sister

- DH is a good driver... (knock wood) and he avoided two accidents yesterday

+ my bedroom fan makes for good sleeping weather

+ asparagus continues to produce and strawberries are loaded with blossoms
