Today I am grateful for ...
+ my warm and cozy house on a chilly and damp morning
+ the wildflowers in my woods - so lovely this time of year
+ avocados - my new food craze
+ a calm and controlled week ahead - no evening meetings!

- I got a new laptop computer... YAY

- my friends and the way we emmbrace each other as we face life's transitions

- springtime

- safe from the big rainstorm

- friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cell, music

- good memories of Aunt Mackie

+ nice cup of tea with Karen last night - no kids around for a change

+ met her new dog who seems to have a crush on me

+ huge patches of dogtooth violets in my woods - lovely in sunbeams

+ Brad, Mr Muscle at the gym, is finally loosening up and chatting

+ no dog escapes for two days -I am grateful

+ Toni is going to use my far back garden plot - she is delighted to have it

+ the mouse situation at the Mill is moving towards resolution thanks to Paul

+ the next few days will be fairly dry and I can get some outside work done

+ pet therapy at 1 today. Then freedom although my garden helper may be here later for training

- every day is a new day with a world of opportunities

- Ben, who has been helping in the garden

- thoughts of Aunt Mackie's passing away. Her grandson is getting married on Saturday. It's hard to sort throught the sadness and joy I am feeling. We must celebrate.

- many folks here are doing better with food

- my new computer!!!! Finally, I can get online when I want to

- LeighAnne came over and helped in the garden

- should be a nice day outside

- Murray's sister, Nancy, & our niece Erika will be here tomorrow and will stay for the wedding and funeral.

- gardens are looking pretty.

+ huge t-storm last night - I am grateful that no trees are down

+ unexpected fun lunch and fabric shopping trip with Barb

+ laughter with a kindred spirit

+ being able to make poor Karen feel better by just listening

+ did go to the gym this morning although I was very tired and draggy

+ apple trees are starting to blossom

+ got Book Club dates straightened out

+ the pansy pot on the side steps that is blooming its heart out

- have lots of tasty veggies in the fridge so I can stay on plan

- weather's been perfect

- orange tree is full of oranges

- today is the wedding... we will celebrate!

- the cute pictures of the kids

- Gramma Bamma (Meg's mom) messaged me on FB with a funny about Alex. It's nice that she shared it.

+ nothing on the schedule except Church and some yard sale sorting :cb:

+ I am ready for the quilting group meeting Monday - even have the financial report printed

+ it was a busy week but I'm feeling in control

+ just had a long phone call from my daughter who lives in Nanaimo, B.C. I realize how much I miss her. I need to fix that!

I've always struggled, as we all do, with the feelings and anxieties that are associated with being overweight/obese. Shopping was a joke growing up, I know I made it miserable for my mom. I never felt like I looked good in anything and when there was something I did like, it never fit or they didnt have my size. shopping pretty much always ended in tears for my. Needless to say, I'm not much of a shopper still.

Grateful for:

- good sleep

- good food

- clean drinking water

- family, friends, 3FC

- so much fun at the wedding last night!!!! The groom carried a picture of Aunt Mackie holding him as a baby in his pocket. They had her coursage on a seat at the service. It was outside and the weather was perfect. Grateful for all these things.

- waking up with close family member's sleeping in the guest room


- DH got lots of mulch.

- better food choices

- plans of going to DS's for Mother's Day

- grateful for my frozen peas... did some dancing last night. I need to ice my foot/ankle.

+ loved the peace and light of the huge moon out behind the barn last night

+ food is all prepped for Moon Watch BBQ out there tonight

+ good work crew after Church that sorted a lot of Yard Sale stuff

+ managed two hours of garden work yesterday despite my sore knees

+ did a trial run of skewers on BBQ last night - great!

+ feeling "on top" of things at the moment

+ sunshine and a lovely clear sunrise

+ my friends cleared away all the party stuff last night before they left

+ my afternoon is free so I can do some gardening

+ I have Karen's sewing ready for hemming during tea break this afternoon

+ my "on top of things" feeling continues
