Hi relosers.... yesterday was mostly OK. I had a plan.. but changed it a little when I had a stomach ache and switched to a popsycle, toast & cherrios. I was only a hundred calories over for the day. I am grateful for the willingness to NOT eat a sleeve of saltines. Yesterday I made my plan/measured/logged, did my exercise, quite a bit of water, read my book, and tried to eat slower. I am making progress.
This weekend we will be with family. I am going to make the best effort to have food sanity. I think I'll stay away from sugar... sometimes it's a springboard to unhealthy/overeating. We will celebrate DH's birthday. I suggested steaks, salad, garlic bread, & asparagus. I know our DIL will make a pretty cake. One bite is ok...half a cake (sneeking it later) is not. Our neighbor put in a new garbage disposal for us. DH went to Lowes to get it. It's nice to have helpful neighbors. It saved us alot of money, really. DH is always helping him with projects, as well. texascrapper - I hope the surgery bring you some relief. I understand the weight!! mahtha - I am so glad your clothes and shoes feel better. That's a major NSV. justwanttobehealthy - kudos on a better food day. Awesome. Yes...I agree, it's important to be encouraging. Good reminder. SMSDREAMER - your binge is in the past. Forgive yourself and hop right back on your plan! dgramie- Hi!!!! Keep plugging away, friend. Nice to see you. Even though I can't plan everything meal and snack for the next four days. I can try to make good choices. I will try not to approach this as a - I'll start Tuesday time. I hope. I'll be able to check in but, may not have time for personals. I'll see. Have a great weekend. |
oops sorry 2behealthy I must have marked the wrong name!
thanks sue ;) ss tex :( I brokw my rule and stepped on the scale. 241.6 WTH???? my body SUCKS. I hope, hope, HOPE its cause TOM is coming.....idk what else it is, one binge this week would NOT make me gain 4 lbs in 1 day (though the water weight from it might) gonna try to stay off the scale for a bit but it is SOOOOOO hard! btw, morning all...gonna go to the gym in a min ;) |
Happy Friday, everyone! :carrot:
Tex, I'm sorry to hear about the surgery but you're right - worrying about the cast weight is hilarious! I guess you'll just have to have a big whoosh when you get it off! Beverlyjoy, Congrats on a good day. All we can expect from ourselves are good choices, right? I hope you're feeling better today. Nothing new or exciting here. Still at 201.0, but TOM has finally arrived so hopefully I'll see a change soon. My husband came back from a 10 day trip yesterday and did a bit of a double take. Apparently the results are really getting more more noticeable, which is quite motivating. We have a quiet night tonight then a day trip to the beach tomorrow and a birthday party Sunday. Monday will be chore/yardwork day. I'm SO excited to have 3 whole days off! Have a great day, everybody! |
Happy Friday relosers!!
I am getting closer to my low wi at 229.4 today 12lbs away:) from my low of 217! |
Texscrapper you are hilarious!!!! I needed that laugh. Just weigh yourself the next day after the cast and subtract the difference :)
My TOM is here finally and I weighed 4 pounds more today than yesterday. Oh well. I am not counting it. We are going to a little swimming resort called Indian Springs this weekend. It is in Idaho and it is a delightful hot springs great for Deluxe camping or a day trip. I am worried about my diet but I had my husband buy peanut butter cookies for the boys and him. I do not like peanut butter. I usually would have bought Oreos. I love them but I want to do good this weekend. I hope you all have a great weekend and happy careful eating. Lsfunky |
I made it to onderland with a WI of 199.4 today!
I'm happy to be here, but honestly not as excited as I thought I'd be. I think the reality that this is going to be a long road/lifetime struggle has really set in. Getting back OP was fun at the beginning. I had cool new tools to track and was constantly finding new recipes to try. The shiny new toy has dulled and I realize that fun or not I need to live this way for the rest of my life if I want to maintain a healthy weight. <sigh> This is just hard work. |
A quick hello. Yesterday went well. DH and I went out to dinner on the way. It was a grilled salmon salad with feta. I put aside half of the feta cheese and didn't eat it. It amazes me how sometimes I can and other times I cannot. But, I am doing lots of my Beck tasks and it is helpful.
Credits.. for writing it all down lots of water reading my cards very aware of putting fork down between bites trying to really taste the food exercises It's a good start back. Have a great weekend. |
day 1 of the weekend went good. Food was easy! Day 2 should be as well. Here hoping and planning it to be! Day 3 will include a steak and baked potato half, homemade icecream that i will limit myself to one small bowl.
|
Happy Monday everyone
We've had a beautiful weekend but social events have derailed my diet over the last 36 hours. I will be back OP starting today. Dgramie and Beverlyjoy, congrats on getting back on track, I will follow your lead. |
:congrat: SUE ~ on reaching ONEDERLAND!!! I know how much you wanted to see that ...
We had very bad storms here Friday and Saturday; so our power was off for a short time; and my internet got knocked off and didn't get back on til this morning. Sadly, becuz of the winds we had a bad plane crash at our local airport and two men died, including the pilot; and one was badly injured. We are praying for him to recover well, and for all the families of everyone involved. (Edited & updated: the fourth man decided to take a later flight; good thing.) We have cooler temps here along with some :rain: this AM, but it has stopped now. Some :sunny: is supposed to come by mid-week. We did get some shopping done; some gardening done; some reading done, etc. Boy it's so chilly in here, I may have to put the furnace back on ... :brr:  HI MATILDA AND DGRAMIE ... glad to see you both! Glad to see that you are all doing well, and persevering; keep it up ... :flow2: |
Hi guys! =)
Fellow reloser, here. I weighed myself today and saw that I have officially gained back each and every one of the 40lbs I lost in 2010, so it's time to do this thing a second time, and make it permanent this go round! It's inspiring to see so many of you here doing the same thing; I look forward to getting to know you! =) |
Yesterday we had a huge steak for lunch. I counted every calorie and logged it. I had a bowl of homemade icecream for dinner but logged every calorie in it. I came in only 8 over my limit so Im counting that as perfect!!
I am logging everything on losingit. I really like the program so far and if should be able to keep me focused. |
Well, my weekend was a bust, but I kind of new going in that it would be. I hosted my sister in law's bridal shower AND bachelorette on Saturday - needless to say I did not track. I have been AWFUL about tracking lately, so that is my goal for the next week. Track every bite! Hopefully this will get my weight to start going down again! :D
|
:welcome: PIXELATED ~ glad you joined us over here; yeppers, we sure know about regain, but we are relosing it too. 40 lbs shouldn't take too long to shed ... good luck! :D

Good morning everyone
Welcome PixelatedTimeMachine! This is a great group, you'll find lots of support and sanity here. Tex and dgramie, It seems like we were all in the same boat this weekend. Holidays and celebrations are hard. As promised, I'm back on track. Yesterday I ended up about 100 calories under my goal and today is going well. Sunday was a disaster. I went to a birthday party hungry and the food choices were not diet-friendly at all. I know I should have planned better... This weekend is D17's graduation ceremony and party. Between family dinner out Friday and the food and drink fest Saturday it's going to be another tough one, but at least I have control over what's being served. One day at a time, right? I hope everyone has a great day. |
