- staying within my plan for the day... yesterday. Grateful for that.

- getting into to see the doctor right away - a Combo of pulled muscle and an unhappy gallbladder at the same time - same area. Good to know. Tomorrow - ultrasound. Grateful to find out so quickly and have the test quickly

- friends and family that really care about me

- mom sold her car - she's happy about that. I don't mind driving her. It's time to do it.

- Aunt Mackie will get to leave ICU this week we think. YAY

- friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cell phone, music

- wonderful visit for tea with some friends yesterday. I wasn't tempted by the 'goodies' - however, they smelled good.

+ my dogs who sneaked upstairs at 3 to snuggle in - they were cold in the back room

+ laughing until my stomach hurt at Claire when we got lost driving yesterday - she has absolutely NO sense of direction except up and down!

+ a pleasant afternoon at the Open House - managed to spend only 15 minutes talking to Susan who is soooo boring

+ just one more hour of machine quilting to do this morning

+ dogs going to the kennel and I will go to Ottawa to visit Shirleyanne - I am very grateful for our long friendship - since 1958 and we still have lots to talk about!

This afternoon I am grateful for:

+ my wonderful Focus that took me to Ottawa through yesterday's snow storm - a scary drive but it wasn't dark

+ Shirleyanne who looked after me so well when I was there

+ a great evening with Ross & Shirl and Greta & Sylvia although they bicker

+ was able to rewire a lamp for Shirl - even impressed myself

+ a ready to bloom white amaryllis - a gift from my god daughter she left at Shirl's for me

+ Greta and Sylvia (European fashionistas!) recognized I had lost weight

+ my warm and welcoming house with the ploughed lane

This morning I am grateful for -

+ a lovely evening with friends for a simple meal last night

+ a credit card balance that was much smaller than expected

+ my dogs who behaved beautifully last night

+ finally feeling I've had enough Christmassing - (decorations are slowly being stashed away)

+ my washer and dryer who are efficiently handling washing the Christmas linens

+ quilting meeting yesterday went well - I think I'm finally accepted into that closed group

+ above freezing temps today mean I can probably get the decks shoveled off

+ the white amaryllis is about to bloom

+ a day ahead to do odds and ends of niggles with no "musts"

Good morning! I realized it was time to change the Christmas avatar for me and it looks like Ruth changed too! Good luck with all your tests Beverly, that has to be a little scary.

This morning I am grateful for...

...no huge debt (Ruth, I thought it was so ironic you and I were on that wave length this morning, I had read something last night about including financial stability into gratitude as well!).
...a working car, my house and my father.
...first assignment done!
...a fabulous sister.
...a chance of sun today.
...my favorite tea.
...all the patience and compassion I am extending to myself to keep trying!

Have a great Saturday!
