Hey folks

Holding at 162 this morning, 1 up from my current low. I'll take it. I was on plan yesterday and got in a full hour on the elliptical.

Today I had an ambitious list of things to do to get ready for my India trip, plus my regular weekend grocery and cooking plans. The snow is damping my enthusiasm - it's probably not so much snow that I can't get out and do some of those things, but it will make everything more of a pain in the rear.

Great job getting through another week (mostly) on pan, folks. Good luck and good strength today.

Wanted to stop in and say I'm still here. Haven't had much time to do much reading - I know I need to. The time when I was most successful was when I was really active on 3FC - reading and posting. Thanks for the well-wishes. My stomach bug (or whatever it was) lasted less than a day (I wonder if it might have been stress-related). I have not been near as good with my food as I should be and my sleep schedule (and life schedule) have been even more out of whack than usual this week - hospital before work - work - hospital - home. On Thursdays instead of coming home I drive to my daughter's house after work because she has class. I get to pick the boys up from daycare and watch them til she gets home and then I stay the night and go to work from there. It's about 5 miles further to her house than it is to mine (opposite directions). I have not been weighing every day like I should and the few days I did weigh I didn't write down.

My mom is out of the hospital (yesterday) and back at the rehab/nursing facility. She had some sort of stomach virus (lasted several days). She had surgery on Thursday to replace the temporary dialysis port in her chest and put one in her wrist. The one in her wrist will become her permanent one it heals completely and they make sure her body doesn't reject it - they say that could take 10-12 weeks. She really wants to go home to her house (across the street from me) after rehab but I don't think that's gonna happen - my older brother's are insisting she go to assisted living and although I know she really wants to come home, I'm not sure she will be able. It breaks my heart.

Well, I better get. Lots to do today - grandbabies are coming to visit for the weekend and I have housework to do before they get here. I'm so excited for them to see the little play kitchen I built them last weekend (still need to build the fridge). I used a recycled bathroom faucet and a stainless steel bowl for the "sink." My stove burners are brass shower drain covers that I spray painted black. I still need to figure out the stove knobs - I want them to be something that will actually turn. I also need to get the shelf put in under the sink and either a door or a curtain.

Have a great day, ladies!

I didn't have a chance to weigh myself before eating this morning (DH was sick and still sleeping in our room so I couldn't get to the bathroom with the scale without waking him). Oh well. I weighed myself both after breakfast and after my workout and it looks like I'm on the upper end of 166lbs today give or take some. Since I worked out today and planning on lifting tomorrow I probably won't see any new lows until the mid of next week but that's ok. Hopefully 165 here I come!

MamaP- I love that play kitchen! I wish we could get something like that for my daughter.

carter- good luck with the packing! I went to India a few years ago. What are your plans there?

to everyone else.

Diana- thanks! He slept a lot last night and seems to be improving. Hopefully after some rest today he'll be back to his old self.

How are the allergies going? Did you ever figure out what was wrong?

Runningfromfat That's good news with your DH. It's not a good feeling being sick. I am still avoiding as much soy as I can. Inside my mouth is healing, which is a good sign. I dropped some water weight overnight, which is a good sign. I have been dealing with this craziness for over a year and a half, but still don't know anything definite. What makes my situation even more difficult is that it doesn't show up immediately. I will react 12-24 hours after I eat something. Then it can take 1-2 weeks before I even start feeling some relief. Insanity, I tell you! At least I don't have anaphylactic shock. I am grateful for that.

Hey all, hope you're having a good weekend. We got a little snow here so it made running errands a little tricky today but I got almost everything done.

I had a great weigh in - 160.4! I'm pretty sure it won't stick but it was nice to see.

Good Day Ladies

weighed in .6 down to 185.2 ... I have to tell you my weigh in was at 6a.m. I usually weigh in at 6:20 but that's ok. Now the good part, I went back to bed and woke up at 9a.m. Ladies I weighed 184.6. I so wanted to type that in as my weigh in today ... If I stay OP today, it may come tomorrow. Wouldn't that be great?

Diana some late evenings you're having Good job on the pound down

Anya goo job on the pound ... as for record keeping most have been doing it for years so it's a part of our day ... and the accountability is great

QT good job on the .4 down The low calorie days (under 1200) do more damage than we think in my opinion. I know when I've had them my next day is always about 400 calories higher and I always have a gain. Not good and it has me fuming at the scale

Ciao good job on the .2 down, new hair color in the new avatar, cute

Hi carter be careful out there today

Kris glad to hear your Mom is out of the hospital, I pray everything goes well with the dialysis port and she can come home since that is what she wants. Sorry about the things not going so well for you but prayerfully things will all come together life wise. I love the kitchen you built, it looks great, I think all of my children up to the oldest would still be playing with it if they had one so realistic. You are very talented. Good job on the .6 down

runningfromfat 165-164 is right around the corner you got this Hope your husband feels better soon

Amanda good job on the pound down I like the smack on the head, Coulda had a V8, remember that commercial Enjoy your run

Steph take it and run, great job Say that it will still stick Be careful out there

Aimee, Angie, Coondocks, Kukkie, Lyla and Everyone I missed I hope you are having a great weekend, snow/ice and all

AKA Great job on that pound! Did you get that run in?

Steph Think positive. It just might stick. That's what you weigh right now, and that's what matters.

Rennie Great weigh in! I hope tomorrow is even better for you. Did you do anything fun today?

MamaP, hang in there. I've been in a similar situation with my dad. Assisted living is wonderful, and it's hard for people to make that change. The kitchen set sounds grand! I'm so glad you get to spend time with the little ones.

Everyone!

Default I think I blew it today :(

Ok I blew it today for sure. Here are my numbers

calories 1930, carbs 195, protein 78, sodium 3187

I did manage to get on the treadmill - distance 1.40, time 30:44, calories 280. I also did a little Zumba Fitness and 18 jumping jacks, I'm proud of the jumping jacks they aren't easy for me. My tummy is hurting from the extra junk I ate so hopefully tomorrow, I will do better and stay OP.

Thanks Diana The closes thing to fun was watch the Power Puff Derby with the Girl Scout. They piggy back off the Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby. Rissa came in 18th which isn't bad. There were 52 Brownies. It was really cold and icy out and I don't like ice. I hit black ice when I was pregnant with Rissa and it practically scared the life out of me and Chelle. The others were too little to remember, then again I think Kenny said something to the fact of me going to fast, funny now but not then . How was your day?

I have to ask you all how you feel about this and do you think I am being selfish? Chelle's fiancé sent me a hello text, asked how everyone was doing and had I received any more letters. I said we're good, and I received two yesterday. He says, I received 6. I said WOW lucky you, He said, LOL I guess. I'm thinking wow I am worrying about this girl, writing her everyday and she is spending time writing him. Mind you this relationship is still young so I am a tad thrown back. I'd like know your take on this, thanks.
