March 31: 219.8 (8.2 loss in March)

1: 219.4
3: 224.5
4: 225.2

It started with a BBQ luncheon and a piece of birthday cake on Friday (April 1) and then over the next few days it went on to include Golden Oreos, Cornbread muffins, popcorn, chocolate mint cookies, Chicken & Rice with potatoes on Saturday, french fries, Chicken Fajita Salad on Sunday (half of it for lunch and the rest for dinner), etc. I also had nearly no water over the weekend. There were a few attempts at healthy choices over the weekend, but mostly it was a "I just don't care" couple of days. I'm trying hard to care today . . . so far I've had a protein shake for breakfast and am getting ready to eat a grapefruit for snack.

The scale is the same as yesterday, 188.5. It was super nice here yesterday, close to 80! (And 40 degrees warmer than it is right now. Oh, Iowa. :P)

I went for a 20 mile bike ride, and got a little bit of a sunburn. I am really loving being able to get outside and be more active now that I'm getting into better shape!

So far, mine haven't been bitter. I've been told that if they are too bitter, they have not cooked long enough.

IMO, your brother needs to grow up! Seriously, why would someone say this to anyone at all? Hold your head up high and keep going. You're doing this for you. Forget the rest of them!

I measured yesterday. I've lost an inch off the waist, an inch off the butt and an inch of the thighs. I have probably lost more inches in places that I don't really measure as my clothes are fitting much more nicely.

Today, I need to finish pressure washing the front deck and do some housecleaning. I have probably 3 weeks of work to do in 1 week! LOL Have a great on-plan day.

Starbrite: I just read the post about your brother. I am really sorry that you had to go through that. It sounds like he is really jealous. Maybe not of the actual losing weight, but more about the fact that you set your mind to something and have had amazing results. For some, it is really difficult to set goals for themselves and then actually set things in motion to achieve them.

Just know that if you end up with the label of "Freak" for setting your mind to get yourself healthy, then sign me up and call ME a "Freak" too!!!!!

We freaks gotta stick together! Am I right?!

starting to get really frustrated.

i stay on plan with food, and exercise every day (with very few exceptions), and even make the exercise more challenging if it's too easy.

but my scale isn't moving i've been up and down in the same pound for a week now. today is 287.7. down 0.2 from yesterday, and only half a pound down from a week ago. it's making me wonder why i'm making such a drastic change if it's not going to do anything. i maintained this weight eating poorly and sitting on my butt most of the time. grrr...

Kris -- Sorry for the rough weekend; you are back in control now -- good job on the protein shake! Don't let the mistake define you, make it the recovery!

Kaebaka -- Great job getting outside for some exercise and fresh air!

Reptogirl - Congrats on your .6!

Rhonda -- Sounds like you'll get your workout with spring cleaning today Good job on the inches you've lost.

@Diana3271 - I love your month by month totals. Great job!

@Coondocks - Great goals for April. I love that they're scale and activity based! I'm seeing how important that balance is and always appreciate the reminders! You are a strong woman!!

@Kukkie84 - Great start for April missy!

@Angie - You are doing great Angie. LOVE the month by month! I agree, sodium is EVIL! That w/ those lovely TOM weigh-in's can feel rough. You're going great though - keep it up!

@Fit4Lyfe - You are rockin' April! Keep it up!

@Beck - Awesome losses even though it's TOM. That's spectacular!

@GreatPerhaps - You are SO gonna hit 200!

@goal4agirl - You can do it! Keep up the positive talk!

@Lnoelparis - Stress is a tough one...good for you keeping engaged with so much going on!

@Riesz - Love the NSV goals!

@BeTrueToYou - It's a job in itself trying to stay motivated and let little frustration throw you off course. Damn the wii! Sucks about the braces but you'll get used to 'em soon enough. Keep up the exercise...great job!

k0nyfo0zed - I could have written that exact post. I'm so frustrated - stay on plan with my food, get exercise I"m supposed to, and my scale doesn't want to move. The past two weeks' weigh-ins have shown ONE pound loss. It's so hard to keep going when the progress is so slow. Ugh.

HI Angie,

The Mediterranean diet is mostly fruits, vegetables, fish, olive oil, whole grains, legumes, very little red meat .. no processed foods. You have to be careful with portions of the grains and olive oil, but I am finding the program to be very satisfying and I feel good on it.
