Talking A hard won half pound :)

I spent the past 4 days with my sixth graders at science camp. I made the best food choices I could out of very limited options and did a fair bit of walking/hiking. Food was served buffet style (i.e. all you can eat), for breakfast and dinner, and make your own sandwiches for lunch (I don't usually eat sandwiches any more - too much bread, and it wasn't even whole wheat). I avoided all snacking, drank a lot of tea, never went back for seconds, kept portion sizes small, loaded up on veggies and salads whenever offered, made a taco salad on "burrito night" using shredded lettuce/cabbage mix as my base and salsa as dressing, and took the smallest slices offered on pizza night (one veggie with pesto, one ham and pineapple) and had a salad, etc., etc.

I've grown used to eating a lot of veggies, fruit, lean protein, and whole grains, so my stomach feels a bit off - hopefully that will fix itself soon Even though I felt like I made the most "on plan" choices possible at camp, I still expected the scale to go up this morning, especially since I still feel a bit sore, but it was down a half pound

This is starting to get just a bit easier

Congratulations on making such good choices in a challenging situation! It definitely does get easier.

Congrats as well on the half pound; they do add up.

Yay!! Your doing good staying on plan this season. I have noticed too that it is getting a little easier. I do have my moments though . The main thing is you are making good choices. There was a buffet and you did not lose it- you stayed strong. Good job
