Up 1.2 lbs. this morning to 225.4. I have no explaination for this, I ate like a saint yesterday. Haven't been above 1300 calories in over two weeks.

Gah!

Eclipse - I think it's time to update that ticker girl!

Cita - Sorry hun, I know how that goes. How was your sodium and water intake yesterday?

PM - Glad you have patience. I sure don't! I want out of the 220's already!! Lol.

Eclipse - Definitely time to change that ticker, chickie!

Cita - Have you thought about cycling the calories? Shy may be onto something though... Sodium. Blech.

I posted earlier this month, but was waiting until I got my digital scale in the mail. Well, I got it today and now I have a dilemma. It weighs about 5 pounds less then my dial scale.(Not that I am complaining) And I could have sworn my dial scale was accurate with my drs. Which one do you think I should go with. As far as steadiness. I got on the digital one quite a few times and it only had a .2 variance. When I drank 4oz of water it did calculate that. And I weighed my son and it was right on with his weight, because he was just at the drs office not too long ago. Help! (although it did show my DH 5 - 9 pounds lighter too)

Aydenzmoma- I have two scales here, one that weighs me at a lb. more than the other. I don't have an outside scale to compare myself to. Maybe you can try out some scales at the store (Target usually has a bunch to pick and choose from) and see what they say. Maybe you need a new one? How old is yours?

I'm up 1.6 today to 261.4. What in the world?!!!!! Has to be TOM or water weight, there is NO way I gained that overnight! I feel pretty swollen today, so I'm going to double up on water.

hmm tough call on the scale. So if you step on the dial scale and then right on the digital scale, it gives 2 different readings? I never cared for dials because I can't read them anyway lol

How often do you go to the Doctor's?

I don't know HOW I missed that, it was the first thing you said. Weird day.

Are you sure it's calibrated properly? It is location? For some very strange, and unsettling reason, I can weight up to 30 lbs less in my kitchen than in my bathroom. I would grab something like a 5 lb bag of flour, or a 10 lb bag of cat litter and see how the scale determines the weight. Hold it, and calculate like that.

I switched scales partway through. In my case, my old scale was so erratic it was tough to say exactly what the difference was, since I got so many different weights on it!

I ended up just giving myself credit for how much I had lost so far, then added the difference to the new scale onto my starting weight. So I kept the credit for the 35 lbs I had lost but had a new starting number, so in my case, 7 lbs more to lose! In your case, I'd do the reverse, and make it up by being that much closer to your goal!

Tried my kitchen and my bathroom, same result..calibrated it 4 times. Reset it by taking the batteries out multiple times. Weighed my son(I have no new bags of flour or new bags of cat food) and held him and it weight perfectly, just 5 less then my other scale. Weird huh?? I do go back to the dr on Friday, but I am so eager to have an exact weight for once! AUUGG!!

i'd say just take the 5lb loss and go from there. maybe you are standing different? ha i don't know. i'm curious to see what the dr's scale reads.

I'll just take it for what it's worth and update here on Friday after my appt, lol. I guess If it is accurate on everything else I could just subtract the difference if it is off. Thanks guys!

Aydenzmoma Make sure you weigh yourself at home in the same circumstances as at the Dr. office. Meaning on an empty stomach vs having eaten, clothed, etc. Or better yet, I would just take the home scale with me to the Dr's visit. That should get some attention, or at least let them know you are serious about this weight loss thing.

For what it's worth, I'm always 3 lbs heavier at the Doctor's office. My shoes don't come off, I'm usually holding my purse and I make my appointments for the afternoon. I don't sweat it when my scale drops, so do theirs.
