I have to admit, every time I pass a post of yours, I stop and stare at your av for a second. You are quite beautiful and inspiring. I hadn't seen your before, so thank you for sharing. I agree that you were always pretty, but now you glow! I hope I can glow someday...

-edit- I feel like such a ditz, but in case you ever re-read this, I had seen other before pictures, I just didn't recognize you! lol

Because now you can see the REAL me. The me I am inside

Instead of the former me... that shadowed who I really was...

–adjective
1.
not truly or completely representing the facts or reality; misrepresented; false:

Lots of other thoughts run through my head when I now look at the rare before photos of me. Like how could I do that to myself? Why would I choose to live that way? Why is this woman so sad?

But one singular word that keeps popping into my head is that I look - distorted. Almost maimed. I know that it's me, but, but, but.... it is very disturbing.

It is hard to put into words. When I look at that picture what comes to mind is her direct look of determination, but I also see a kind of fragile awakening...and in the eyes, a sense of wonder.

You amaze me. Every time. Such an amazing journey and we all get to see it. I hope you feel as amazing as you look...and I'm sure you do.

There are so many stories of hard work. I love to see all the transformations. I've heard that line " You'd be so pretty if you just lose the weight." That comment is really a hit to the gut, but if it makes you get your butt in gear and do something better for yourself than I guess it was worth hearing. Congrats to you Mama. You look terrific!
