OK! My first summer mini-goal is accomplished. Early.
1. 202 by July 2nd. I'm one pound away from that right now, so that seems very attainable. At this weight, I will leave obesity behind and be overweight instead. Goal Accomplished!!! June 18th!!!
2. 200 by July 16th. That will mean my total loss will be 50 pounds.
3. 199 by July 23rd because it will feel good to be on the other side of 200 for the first time in I don't know how many years.
NEW GOAL:
4. 197.5 by August 2nd. I'll be exactly 1/2 way to my goal. 52.5 pounds lost, 52.5 to go.
NEW GOAL:
5. 197 by August 6th. I'll be over the hump with 53 pounds down, and 52 to go.
6. 194 by the end of August for a total loss of 56 pounds.
Reward: The weight loss itself, and I think I'll go check out the Labor Day sales and maybe pick out a new outfit.
My mini goal is 199 lbs. I was there last year at this time, and I want to get back. Not sure when I can get there..but I will get there! Hopefully by the July 27th Wedding I have to attend.
Thanks Jennifer!!!! Keep up the good work. You will reach your goal if you keep chipping away at it. You've had quite a struggle lately dealing with medications and all.
I just realized that I'm going to be out of town on July 4 and will have no way to weigh in. (Well, duh! ) So, I'm adjusting my next mini-goal and date.
Next mini-goal: 215 by July 12
mini-goal #2: 199 by Aug 23
mini-goal #3: 179 by Halloween
mini-goal #3: 170 by Nov. 30 (hubby's birthday)
mini-goal #4: 160 by January 1, 2003
I hope to reach my WW goal of 140 by March 15, 2003.
This is a great idea - I always try to bite off more than I can chew (both literally and figuratively!) and get frustrated. I've only got 3 for now, but I'll add more as I go.
1. Under 250 by July 4th - that's 4 pounds, should be reasonable.
2. Under 220 by my birthday (Nov. 29) - I haven't been under 220 in about 10 years, and then I'll have two reasons to buy some new clothes.
3. Still under 220 by January 1st - I'd like to get through one holiday season without a significant gain, and this is the year!
I like that goal too. Maintenance through the holidays was my goal this past Thanksgiving and Christmas - and I did it -- no loss, just maintenance. It's probably best to give the body a break from weight loss sometimes anyway. Maintenance will be my goal again this Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hey, it's better than putting on AT LEAST 5-10 pounds everytime that time of year rolls around.
I can relate because I am near there myself. I was at 49 pounds before my cruise. It was one week of eating June 12-19th. (today!!) I will hop on the scale tommorow. I know it could be worse since I didnt eat at all the midnight buffets. I only ate some at the one BIG gala buffet. And I did tons of walking in Bermuda and on the ship, so that helped a lot. I will report the damage tommorow.
Next goal to get to 50 pounds by July 4th or before depending on how much I gained!!
I only gained two pounds which isnt so bad in my book. I got right back on track yesterday. I will weigh in again today. I know its too soon to expect too much but I am hoping most of it is water weight?? Anyway, I still want the 50 by July 4th. Hopefully sooner since it's only 3 pounds away.
Lorelei!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 lbs?!?!?!? And you ate and drank??? Wow. I moved alot on my cruise, and I came home about 7 lbs heavier! Good for you!!! So glad you had fun and came home happy. Those 2 lbs will be gone before you know it.
Well I don't think I'm going to make my goal, but I don't much care. I lost a dress size and some wieght. I didn't go up, and found a plan that works for me. So I'll just have to think of another goal and we'll see if I can make the next one.
Bella-sounds like you have the right attitude. this weight loss has to turn into maintenance eventually so I am glad you have found something you like and can stick with. Congrats on being down a size-isnt that the best feeling??
Jenniffer-thanks!! You were right when you told me the food would be great. It was worth it for sure!! Again I know the walking saved me. I did lots of it!!

You are making and breaking all kinds of goals-That is wonderful. Of course you will meet the 197 goal a month early too!! I know you must be on top of the world right now. Congrats!!
I re-read my first post and feel I need to update too:
I did gain two pounds on my cruise so I do need to "re-lose" those again. Bringing me to 266. I set a Labor Day goal of 60 pounds=253. I need to make smaller goals to get to along the way so I will say:
#1- 263 (50 pounds) by July 6th, which is ten days away.
#2-258 (55 pounds) by August 30th (halfway to Labor Day!!)
#3-253 (60 pounds) by Labor Day!!
