My personal favorite was to pour vinegar on your meal before you ate it. Now, I've poured ketchup on my fries so that I'll stop eating them after a handful, but this is different. This is cooking yourself a meal or ordering it and planning to pay money for it, and then pouring stuff on it so that it doesn't taste good and you'll only eat... nothing. Ridiculous.
back to the pee thing, my great grandmother once poored my pee into my ear because I had an ear infection. She said it would kill the bacteria and the infection would go away. I was like five yrs old, and remember it vividly!! crazy woman
my mom actually had her jaw wired shut when she was in her 20's (in the 70's) to lose weight!! She could only drink liquids through a straw. she lost weight for sure...until she had the wires taken off. She was a fanatic with fad diets, like anything to not have to exercise and eat healthy, she was right on top of that! my poor misguided momma
I love how people are so quick to tell you that things like carrots and bananas will make you fat, but no one says a darn thing when you are polishing off a bag of doritos and a snickers bar a couple times a day.

Well there you go thats why Im fat dont you know it. Bananas has always been my favorite fruit and I eat one everyday or close to it. Now I know why Ive been fat my whole life lol...key to weight loss no more bananas...got it!

sigh... don't you WISH it was something as easy as eating bananas that made us fat LOL I'm always so jealous of people who used to drink something like 4L of REAL soda a day and were fat -- but as soon as they switched to water all the weight fell off! LOL
I wondered if anyone else had heard of the "jaw wired shut" diet. We had a neighbor when we lived in Minneapolis who had that done. I think she gained weight - and had to have a LOT of dental work done when they unwired her. She had milkshakes eight or ten times per day. All that sugar sitting in her mouth rotted her teeth.
My mom read an article when I was a kid about some prison that got sued because they put the prisoners on bread and water as punishment and some guy was in trouble so much he weighed like 80 pounds. She ate two loaves of bread a day for a week. Couldn't figure out why she gained weight.
My gram - who's 95 - is pretty sure we eat too much and sit around too much and that's why we're to heavy. Old and wise, huh?

So a Romantic poet was drinking vinegar as a dieting aid about 200 years ago.
So I had a coworker tell me that I should just eat pickles all day because they have zero calories and I would be losing burning calories from chewing the pickles.
my favorite was Saran wrapping your body for hours, apparently you can lose inches this way.
If it were that simple I'd be buying stock in the Saran wrap company
A girl from work lost a bunch of weight. I hadn't seen her for awhile so I was all like, "Wow, you look great, how did you do it!" So she sends me her food plan through interoffice mail......it was some hard-boiled egg thing where you had to eat something like 2 or 3 dozen eggs a week! Gahhhhh! Even if it is healthy (is it? It doesn't sound healthy!), I can barely stomach ONE hard-boiled egg, let alone many of them at every meal.
Not to mention that couldn't be good for your cholesterol!
When I was in HS, I emptied out an old yogurt container (whats that, like 6-8 oz?) , and used it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ... meaning, i would shove the food in the cup, kinda like for "portion control", and only eat that 3 times a day with no snacking in between. It didn't matter WHAT I was eating, as long as it fit into that little cup. LOL!! Terrible ... my stomach used to hurt sometimes, probably from lack of food LOL
I've heard thatyou should only eat once a day for ten minutes, but you can have anything you want in that ten minutes! Uh, really? Apparently you haven't seen what I can eat in 10 minutes!
Ha I heard of that one!!! They just have no idea how fast I can finish off pizza, cupcakes and fries in 10 minutes! LOL I mean really!
