sockmonkey, that's so cute! My husband actually misses pinching my fat cheeks!

I have a good NSV to report! I've been saying I can't wait to get into single digit sizes, but I thought it would be a while as I just bought my first size 10 pants a week or so ago. Well...today I got a size 8 skirt!! It was at Old Navy, where the sizes run big and I was actually trying on all 10s. The 10 skirt was much too big, and I actually have some room in the 8. Insane!

Yay for all the clothing and other great NSVs! I met a former co-worker for a drink after work. He hasn't seen me in probably 6 months or so...and he was so complimentary, including telling me I looked "totally hot". (he said it in a nice way, not a creepy way - he is happily married and I know and like his wife very much, but it was still a nice thing to hear!)

My Nsv is clothing related. Last year when I went down to 250 from 269, I bought some nice crops from Lane bryant and a pretty stripped shirt, They fit me for one day, and it was a tight fit, so I hung them up in the back of my closet, well I got them out and they fit .The button down shirt is loose!! and the pants a size 22 fit nice , a little loose, . So I am feeling nice. I can't wait to get out of the 22's and get into the 20's.

I've been on an exercise routine of either swimming or walking each day. But, after swimming 2 hrs. yesterday, I still went for my 3 mile walk last night.

I know that you've been struggling with the scale, and I had actually intended to ask if you were seeing results in other areas. As you know, if you exercise a lot, the scale is not always all that accurate in reporting fat loss. So it is great to hear that you're seeing results even if the scale is not cooperating as much as it should!

My NSV - I FINALLY bought a new swimming suit yesterday. It's a tankini. Though I prefer a one-piece, this was the only one I could find that was reasonably priced and that covered me both on top and on bottom. It's a size 16W, and my other one was a size 22W. Tight on the bottom, loose on the top. **SIGH** I also think it looks pretty good from the waist up, though not great from the waist down. But since I'll never find a suit that hides my elephant legs, I'm happy with it!

Been to the lake for a few days, so this is actually an NSV from Saturday night. DH's band had a show and I decided to dress up. Kind of a bling shirt that tied around the neck? And some heels and some capris. HE NOTICED! Sometimes he gets so focused on the pounds and the exercise I feel like he doesn't even notice the bod part. He was very admiring. I'm going to dress up a little more often. :-)

Okay, this one cracked me up! A lady at church last night looked at me and said "I was taking roll the other night and Aaron (her husband) said 'Who is that?'" and she exasperatingly said my name, as though he should have known. Mind you, I have known her husband since I was 13 - in my previous skinny days! That was hilarious and uplifting all at the same time. I have actually had more comments about my weight loss in the last week or two than ever. And to think I was thinking you couldn't really tell yet because I haven't seemingly lost enough to make that much of a difference in my appearance (in my view, anyway). Funny how these little things motivate us to keep going isn't it?

On Tuesday I did a backwards dive off the diving board at the pool. First time I've done that in many, many yrs. I stood up there confidently and totally did it. I loved it so much, I did it several times.

Last night, I found out some very upsetting news about my brother. My first instinct was to hit the kitchen, but I resisted. Instead I drove out to the cemetary where my grandpa is to "talk" to him, and ask him to please somehow help my brother get his act together. (Brother was always my grandpa's favorite. I can't help but hope that somehow he can help. Yeah, may sound crazy, but with the road my brother is going down, I need all the hope I can get.) Anyway, I waited until I calmed down and came home and ate sensibly. A MAJOR victory for me, since food has always been my comfort.

I did it!!!! I went to Six Flags and was able to ride EVERY ROLLER COASTER! There was NO PROBLEM worrying about fitting in. I was just another normal rider waiting to have a great time. I have avoided roller coasters and all rides in general for 13 years because I didn't ever want to be told to get off because I was too fat. Now, I'm a rider again!!!! I had the best time. AND, I purchased all the photos from rides that took them!!! I feel like I looked absolutely great!

Yesterday after work I went to my first personal training session! It wasn't nearly as awkward & embarassing as I was expecting & I think I am going to get along fabulously with her.

Tomorrow I go again but with her husband (they own the gym together) so we'll see how that goes but I have better expectations now.

I have had SO many comment on my weight loss lately!! It is like all of a sudden it showed up that I had dropped some weight.

Here are a few comments I have had:
1. Girl, you are losing sooooooo much weight!
2. My husband didn't even recognize you; he thought you were a visitor (this was at church and from a guy I have known since early teens)!
3. You have lost so much weight you are starting to look like a LITTLE GIRL! And, we aren't the only ones noticing it either (oh great, so I'm being talked about? LOL)
4. Hey there, Skinny!
5. You are looking so good.
6. Have you got some questions to answer, girl! How are you losing all this weight!? (this was from a lady I see at a distance all the time but never talk to. She went out of her way to come over to talk to me when she saw me approaching the building )

Of course, if you knew me personally, you would know I DON'T like attention drawn to myself in the least. So, these comments are a little embarrassing, but it WAS nice to know it was at least showing. Because, see, in my opinion I really don't look that much different. I still have so much to lose that I don't feel like I really have changed in appearance that much. So, it was motivation to hear these things - even if it came with some embarrassement.
