I'm on plan, today, because it's July. I started in January. I'm almost at the halfway mark. I turn 36 in 18 days and I'll be below 200 when I do. I'm on plan because it's July.
Its a new week, AND a new month.
Its time to kickstart myself. I've decided to "reach for the stars" (my new moto), and lose 15 pounds this month. And it all starts today. Thats why I'm staying on track today.
Great reasons for staying on plan everyone, especially the shaving cream, that made me laugh.
I am staying on plan today because I stayed on plan for the past 2 months, so why not July? I can do it!! cheryl
The shaving cream was way funny! Confess to dorkdom all you want, Toni - I still think you're cool!
I'm staying on plan today because I just spoke to my dad, who is fighting with his insurance company to get the lapband surgery. I so desperately want him to be able to get it so that he can regain his health and be able to do what he has always enjoyed doing. That alone is sufficient motivation to know that I need to keep going. But, he said, "I really need to do something about this weight." At that point, I have always said before, "I know. I really need to do something about mine, too." Today, I was able to say, "I really need to KEEP doing something about mine." (I also told him about your 100 pounds and 10 mile mark after only a year, Lisa. My OP anniversary is May 14 - the day after my birthday - and I told him that I wanted to hit those two milestones by my birthday!)
I lose pretty consistently at 1.5 lbs per week. I'd really like to lose 2 lbs this week (to get me to that magic 50# lost!), and to do that I'm going to have to be very faithful with exercise and eating.
I'm on plan because I crossed the magic line. I no longer weigh two hundred and anything!
I went to Sam's yesterday and bought strawberries and blueberries and bing cherries and pineapple. Treats for me! I'll share them with my family and with the people at work. My daughter reminded me that my "old" way to celebrate anything would have been with a cake. Not anymore. Took too much work to get here, not going to celebrate my way back!

I love to see people make it to Onederland! And so determined to stay there too. What a great line to cross. CONGRATULATIONS!!! (And I LOVE strawberries and blueberries!)
I am staying on plan today because yesterday I probably went over my calorie count and ate too many carbs-but it was a planned indulgence. The scales didn't jump up and:
Laurie, I think it's so wonderful that you were able to say you want to KEEP doing something about your weight. That's a major distinction from what you said in the past. I remember being tired of always talking about what I was GOING to do about my weight, and I'm so glad I don't have to say that anymore. I can just keep going with what I'm doing!!
I'm on plan today because I want to keep hitting all my goals and milestones and use that to inspire other people. Being able to inspire people is one of the unexpected rewards I've received from this journey. I love that feeling.
I am staying on plan because I am just so happy with myself. Today is just one of those days where I can feel every little change that I have made and it is WONDERFUL! I love this life!
I am staying on plan today because today is the 2nd day of July and I don't want to start the month off by having a bad beginning. This is a possiblity !! Not a chance !!

I'm staying on plan today because I read back further in my diaries. In 1981 I was in the 150's and fretting because I'd gained. So my goal really is possible. I was there back in the Dark Ages.
