There goes that swearing Kiwi again- she's a salty wench.

Lohani, glad to see that you and your bunch weathered the storm.

I'm trying to decide what's for lunch - Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich for 300 calories, (I'm sick of them) Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich for 430 calories, or Wendy's single burger, no cheese or mayo for 380 calories. Wendy's rocks when it comes to fast food. And they are so fast, they have your food and change ready by the time you get to the pick up window (how do they always know what bill I'm going to pay with? I think Wendy is psychic.)

Hmmm. Looks suspicious to me.

Well, that was fun -- the kids had to photograph their finds, so DD's friend's mother came over with her digital camera, and they tried to take pictures of the snake, the frog, the tadpole, the teensy baby salamander, the dragonfly and the moth. It was hilarious. DH ended up re-catching the snake and holding it up by its tail so they could get a good shot. The frog just sat in a cardboard box and posed--no kidding. The whole thing was very amusing.

Plus, I got DH to help me put up a tarp (this color) to cover my tomato plants with. I clipped them down some--there were ferociously overgrown--and discovered there were tons more tomatoes than I thought. I think we've already had some touches of frost, so they need to be tucked in at night.

Wabby there was a McD's in LA that was like that. You could be in the drive-through line behind 20 cars and still end up at the window before you could get the money out of your purse. Must have been a very stressful place to work. But the pay was great of course! They probably have a fulltime employee making little piles of change in advance for every conceivable cost total.

I got my hair cut yesterday. It may be cute. Not sure yet. Next week, I'm having red stripes put in it. That may be cute, too. I just need a pick-me-up and what can be better than a new 'do. Women with light hair look SO GOOD with those blonde stripes. I will have red and grey ones in my brown hair. I think that sounds very attractive.

Kitty picture that may interest someone. meow

DS complains that he had to explain to several people at school yesterday that it was Talk Like A Pirate Day NOT Talk Like A Parrot. Too many "Polly wants a cracker"s.

Oy, head hurts. Have toothache. It's raining. Why am I looking at a cat that's not allowed outdoors? I think Peaches is trying to find a nice home for her feline demon from the nether reaches of

I am writing in a very light color because I'm afraid I'm going to fwow up if I don't.

Kiwi is obviously hung over. She was probably in a fight last night, that is why her tooth hurts.

Peaches is a feline slave trafficker. Nasty business.

Where are all the nice people?

Sock!

Is there a braggy pants representing the state of Canada?

This cat would make a fine gift for an animal rights activist WHOM YOU HATE!

I am not planning to be hungover until tomorrow. I realize I look hungover, but really, I'm saving that.

It would serve all those candy-*** tarts from Texas or wherever right if they named Miss Canada Miss America. Canadians live in America too. (But I bet they're glad they live across the border)

I have updated my diaryland site with new, extra sarcastic features. Tell me what you think.

i like the spanish lesson.

don't like the church thing as it reeks of Dana Carvey humor.

was confused by the trout.

If you were in the Miss America pageant (a scholarship program) what would your talent be? I'm asking each of you, not just picking on Kiwi specifically. I would consider doing a simple but elegant tap dance with a dictionary balanced on my head.
