Default Breakfast Question

Hi ladies and gents, I have a problem. In the morning when I leave for work I usually have about 30 minutes to get ready and out of the house, as I share it with two other people who need the bathroom/kitchen etc as well. I hardly ever time (read: never!) to make breakfast and one problem I have is always stopping on the way to work at Dunkin Donuts or McDondalds for a breakfast sandwhich. My question is, short of waking up earlier to cook, is there a South Beach friendly fast-breakfast? it doesn't have to be a fast-food type place, but I was just wondering if I am going to have to resolve myself to cookin in the mornings..
Thanks!

You can do quiche cups and freeze them, make ham/turkey roll ups, grab a l/f plain or vanilla yogurt, a handful of nuts or a few slices of low fat cheese with a couple of tomatoes or celery sticks. You could also eat cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, tuna or any other lean protein.

I am in a rush in the morning and I have my technique downpat. I spray a small frypan with cooking spray, crack in two eggs, top with a couple of slices of low fat cheese then put the lid on and turn it on low while I have a 2 min shower and throw my clothes on while drinking my coffee. I sit and eat it while barking at my daughter to brush her teeth and do her hair. We are both fed, dressed, beds made and curtains opened in 30-40 mins. Anyone with an 8-yr old will tell you that is an achievement!

I agree that the quiche cups are good- if you have those with a glass of V8 you will be full. One thing about SBD is that it is all about the planning!

Yup, you have to do some prep and/or cooking, but it doesn't have to be much! In the morning I throw a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese in a CorningWare dish, cut some cucumber chunks into it, slap a lid on that, toss 6 oz of V-8 in a travel cup, and toss it all with a spoon and straw in a bag and I'm out the door. I keep Lawry's seasoning salt at work for my cottage cheese. Easy and fast!
