Default The Daily Cackle - Monday, March 10

Good morning, Chickies.

I'm back in a lousy sleep pattern so decided to just get up. Gail comes today so I can use the extra tidying time. Hershey is still curled up on the bed, snoring gently. She loves her comfort.

Decided not to go to show handling yesterday as I now know all the "moves" and just need to practice them with Lucy. Harry and I decided to go out for lunch, something we seldom do on Sunday because of the brunch disease around here. At the "Club", we heard a lot of giggling coming from the back room and I discovered it was an initial meeting of The Red Hat Club. What a great bunch of ladies! Of course I joined and left poor Harry sitting in the bar. Sometimes changing your schedule leads to fun things. Is that "serendipity"? I never did understand that word.

A very busy week coming up but I'll be popping in and out.

Have a good start to your week with a piece of Taz's LC Friendship Souffle or whatever she is cooking up this morning.

Good Morning Ruth and all those to come!

Ruth, did you manage to finish all the scraping? I am very thankful I finished everything yesterday. My bedroom now is in robin's egg blue (just a shade darker though) and it looks wonderful! I had envisioned a more purply blue, but hey, I'm OK with what I have. I used up the rest of Miss Miree's aqua she has in her room, mixed it with the blue-green mix in the guest room and a touch of white and voila! Still have a whole gallon of the mix downstairs should I feel inspired to do my ensuite (OY!) Today is move-in day--what a treat to be back into my room again! I hate sleeping in the cramped space--two computers and printers, a 27 inch TV and a double bed in a room that's about 12 x 8. What will I ever do with all this space?

Miss, don't you worry one little bit about "boring" us with a man's faults--we are all dealing with them at one point or another in our lives so vent away girl! Better to vent than to munch! About the first dh thing--been there done that too, finished in a year and a half, chalk it up to hormones. Got myself a pretty good one--he's just lazy and as long as I bug him enough he'll eventually do something! LOL

You all have a great day!

Default good morning ladies!!!

AND whoever else stops by.

ruth... spill about the red hat club... i've heard rumors about them, and they sound fabulous!

and pooky... what a big job you've finished!!! enjoy the fruits of your labor. but you'll be coming up with something else.

and ladies, since i'm not married, i can hardly comment on other folks' marriages, but one of my dearest friends is seriously thinking of leaving her husband over a situation similar to what missd is describing. at least, it started out that way, and has escalated. i can't reallly say any more than that. but my prayers and thoughts are with you all who are struggling with this.

and i look around the gym at all those men lifting huge weights and find myself wondering if they sit around the house all day nagging their wives and doing nothing else! SUCH A CYNIC!!!!

mom is hauled out of bed, unwillingly. and that goofy dog has now started sleeping under the covers!!! head first, no less.. i could see only one of her hind paws... exercise class for mom today, and she doesn't want to go. but since i'm staying home to go visit the chiropractor [with good reason!!! since i can hardly move my upper back this am.], i told her we'd go out to lunch if she went to class. we'll see..

other than that, ladies, life is progressing. hope you all have a great day. maybe taz will put some chocolate in whatever friendship treat she's making?????

Good Morning to the Coop!
Well, I am back on Induction as of today--had a HUGE CARB BLOWOUT this weekend and last night I had a dream that my pants did not fit....that did it for me! Time to buckle down!!

Pooky--don't strain yourself today moving back into the room! Feels good though doesn't it? Just relax and enjoy it for a few days before tackling another room! Before spring gets here, you may have your whole house robin eg blue if your not careful!!

Jiffy--I wish someone would boot my butt downstairs to exercise, my aerobics teacher is done I think, she fell ill, and this was her last month for this year anyway, sooooo...I really need someone to boot me downstairs!!!!!

Well, Tori was in her room puking about midnight last night--DH got her to the bathroom while I stripped her bed--then she puked all over the bathroom floor---so I was scrubbing the carpet in there half the night!! She feels somewhat better today--thankgoodness--just ate tea and toast so we will see if it stays down!!
gotta go--have a great day!!

Morning all,

Hope everyone had a more exciting weekend than I did. Went to 14y/o nieces gymnastic meet Sat morning. Her part was great, but it is a long long time between her 4 15 seconds of grandur. Anyway she did good. Saturday afternoon had me cleaning out the garage and Saturday night was spend with a romantic trip to the grocery store!!!

Sunday between church services I had togo to the office and do the work I didn't do because I was at the gym meet, then finish up the garage!!!

Getting ready to head to the health club for water aerobics. I'm back to water aerobics all five days now that I'm waiting for my next knee surgery. I really enjoyed the "land" classes as the club calls them., but seems they were too strenious for my new knees.
OH WELL, such is life.

Have a great day all to come.

www.redhatsociety.com gives the info about the Society. It is strictly a fun group who meet for "tea parties" every month or so. Our next outing is to go to the Gananoque Casino to see the Elvis impersonator and throw panties at him. I think the panty guy was Tom Jones but we are an old and dotty group! It will be nice to do something that is pure fun for ME!

Happy Monday Chickies!

I could add a lot to the shdh stories, but do not have the space. As I am exercising, eating better, and feeling pretty darn good about myself, I seem to be making too many "physical demands" on him. Just last weekend, he said something about my being easier to get along with when I was heavier! Oh Well!

Nice to see ya posting Jif, where is dear Peachie now adays?

Have a great op Monday!

Morning chicks, it is my day off so I had a large sleep in. Still feeling yeck with this cold. I might take tomorrow off as a sick day, I will see how I feel at 3. I cannot go around sick people, sick

I really must find some energy and do a house blessing. This place needs it. I would love to paint but some people just can't. Thats me.

Well as for cooking up the pie today, I think it must be some energy boost, for Mis and the rest of us that have not been exercising for what ever reason. So take an extra large slice and get yourself moving. Please take a side order of smilesso others know that you are happy with yourself and what you have done.

Love Tazcat

GM All,

Nothing much new here, SOSDD.

The weekend was great, no rain nor snow
Me and the sisters (and kids) went to AC Moore (craft store) this weekend, I bought some long pink tulips for my kitchen island and got hubby some stenceling brushes for his next project, which I think is the entertainment center for our living room. This afternoon, I'm running there again to get some more flowers, YES I AM HURRYING SPRING !!! These will go in my living room.

WOW is my tummy growling loud, how embarassing is that sounds almost like you know what...........

Have a great day all, hope your Lent Challenge is a success so far.

Morning ladies!
Pooky, good job on getting your room finished. I always love doing something new like that.
Ruth, the Red Hat club sounds fun! I've read articles about them, and it sounds like a good time!
Jiffy--you get to watch men lift weights!??!
Miss D., I'm with you on the induction today. The parents and grandparents just left, so the breakfast I just ate was my last "real' meal for awhile! I hadn't had toast in so long...yum.
Good morning, Ageoldie, Tazcat, Leens, and Dondar (and anyone else that slips in!).
Have a great Monday everyone! Think Spring.... As soon as Nick gets on the bus for preschool, I'm putting my yard work duds on, and getting dirty!

I am here scambling to find a new car insurance. I have no insurance right now. Not good. I did not realize i had not paid the bill and am not canceled. for over a month so i can not be reinstated. UGH!!! I was hiding the bills from my sight so i did not want to see where i owed. (FLY LADY Where are you???) This is what becomes of me when i am totally off. i lose every thing including my self. I am desperate now. (do i sould like a pitty party?? YES!!) Desperate for my diet desperate for my life desperate for control again. Of everything. I was so organized untill i started to work then all heck broke lose slowly but surely. Now i am clawing my way out of the dark to find sanity again. (and learning a hard lesson too)

Well that should say enough about how my life is now.

So Hi evey one!!! Can you guess that i have not been keeping up with everyting that has been going on here. so I am sorry for those that needed my help and prayers, I am sending a batch of generic prayers out so i can catch every one!!! As for help?? There is no help for me right now so Just send some out for me.

Enough said about my pitty party!!!

Smiles for every one!!

Hello ladies - my aren't we a busy bunch this morning - I am preparing to fly to Texas for 3 days of meetings, by the way I would rather pull out my finernails with needle nose pliers - DD is still sick - I am leaving here in a few minutes to go get DS from school so the sitter does not have to take the poor wee one out of the house.

Sue, I hope it gets better - I surely understand the disorganization thing - I am living it!!!!

Hugs to everyone else!!!!

Hello to all of you lovely ladies...

Ruth..your Red hat club sounds lovely. I have a wonderful group of senior gal-pals that I adore. Perhaps this would be something they would enjoy.

We are having our last blast of winter and I'm off to the coast for a couple of weeks to have some treatments and spend time with my sister. It has been rainy in Vancouver but I'll even enjoy that. I may not have much time to check in..

You are such a unique groups of gals..perhaps we should all go out and buy a red hat..
Take care everyone...Lori

Psychic lady told me I was a very organized person--when I told one of my friends that she about fell out of the car laughing!! Organization is the one thing (one of the things) in my life I crave--and can not achieve!! I tried flylady--no results--like everything else I could not stick to it!

That is one of the bigger problems with DH--he likes organiziation--I cannot achieve it--go figure!!

Just so you all know--I just finished off DD chicken NOODLE soup--what am I doing?????
Catch you all later!!
mis

PS--Scooby--please don't do that to your fingernails!! You will need them to bite on your trip--hope it is a good one!!

Mis - you up for a road trip to Marietta or Cambridge the first week of June? I think our trip to WV is still on as of now. I used to be completely dis-organized. I still am when it comes to bill paying and stuff like that, but somewhere along the way DH's neat freak ways are starting to rub off on me. Saturday I made DH wait for a snuggle while I cleaned the kitchen up. I chose cleaning over sex? What's wrong with that picture?

Sue - Sounds like you could use some "me" time. I have extra, want me to send you some?

Nettie - Nature's Own makes a great tasting LC bread. 5 grams a slice. Carbs well spent in my book. I buy it in Wal-mart for $2 a loaf. I've sampled other LC products that didn't taste quite right, but DH swears he'd eat this if it wasn't LC, and he's a bread snob.

Pooky - the color you made sounds fabulous! What accent colors are you using?

Everyone have a great day! That's an order!
