Default Looking for a buddy

Hi,all i have been reading some of the post for about a week or so and trying to talk myself into starting another diet. I'm 46 i am 5'3 and am at my top weight of 217 i'm going to start the atkins diet it seems the only way for me to lose. i had lost 35 lbs. for my daughters wedding 1/2 way to my goal but i was so glad when it was over that i thought i could eat what i wanted wrong i have gained that back + 2 so now i have to start over with a total of 75 to lose so anyone else looking for a buddy get in touch i can use all the help i can get

Hi mom. I'm new here too (just joined two days ago) and relatively near your age (I'm 51) so I thought I'd say hi. If it hadn't been for the "A" word, I would volunteer to be your buddy, but I am afraid I wouldn't be much support to someone on Atkins as my philosophy is quite different.

Best of luck in your weight loss, though. There are loads of people on Atkins so I'm sure you will find someone to talk to and be supportive of you!

HI! Scs and welcome although I am not doing atkins I still need a friendsomeone to motivate me I am 56 and cant get below the 150 mark and staying there I am like a yo yo watch what I eat but love junk food!!!!!!!! exercise have good ideas but never follow thru so if you are interested would love to be your friend Rita

Hi Scs, I am on Atkins myself & am new to this whole thing - posting and all. I am 44 and about 50 pounds over what I should be so I think we are close in our goals & what we are doing. I did this diet last summer & lost about 25 pounds before I started losing ground, eating the wrong stuff and not sticking with it. Anyway - I have been watching the carbs since the 11th - so I am not very far into it yet. I need someone to talk to about stuff - like what to eat when you are tired of the same old foods, do you exercise, what about your family, etc. I would be happy to help in whatever way I could - just letting you know that I understand what it's like and that I could try to help you stay motivated! Thanks all i'm not very happy with with my first week i'v done everything i should and no luck. I don't get it it worked before. I think it's a girly thing so not the best time to judge i'll see at the end of next week i could lose 15 lbs. in 2 days if you know what i mean. I do feel better though it's just that one day i weigh 216 and the next it's 212 so who knows??
