Height: 5'6"

Default Hi, I'm new!

I started following calories again from August 14 2013. I've managed to lose 3 lbs so far, hopefully I will keep it up! I previously lost about 40 lbs back in 2009 and I've been sporadically on and off diets since, although the last year or so I have to say I've really left myself go. 207 is my highest weight so far.

As for my background... I'm 24 and have the most wonderful caring husband. We'll have been married two years in October. Although he loves me the way I am (and I believe him when he says so!), part of my motivation comes from the fact that I would love to look my best for him. Of course, that's not the main reason I'm losing weight but I've found it helps.

I'm sure I can meet some lovely people here. Plus it might give me that push to just keep going knowing so many others are going through the same thing too. Nice to meet you all!

I am 30 and although I, like you, believe that my husband is sincere when he says I'm hot, it's just nice to KNOW it's true and be able to see it ourselves.

Feel free to jump in a challenge even if it's already started (most people around here are pretty understanding because we're all in the same boat).

Keep in mind that your weight loss goals are for yourself and no one else. It's your health that is at risk--not your husband's or anyone else. You want to be around to enjoy kids and grandchildren--and you've got to be in good shape to do that.

You have to take care of yourself--before you can take care of anyone else.

Welcome to this board--so glad you have joined--and I know that you can do it--because we all have done tougher things in our lives--we just have a tendency to forget when we have been challenged in the past.
