Hello!
I've been poking around reading the threads on this forum for about a week now and have decided to join up. I've been getting great ideas and info from reading the members posts here, thank you everyone for sharing your weight loss journey!
I have dabbled in some calorie counting and restrictive diets when I was in my early 20's, I did lose weight and managed to keep it off for a few years. When I went back to school I managed to keep my weight fairly steady until the very end, once I was out working I went from 135lbs to at least 187lbs ( I was avoiding the scale). Over 50lbs gained in just over a year is not a trend I want to see repeated each year!
My problem is overeating to the point of binging, and the fact that I work mainly night shifts does not help. I also have endometriosis that was incapacitating me each month, which has made it hard to stick to exercise plans.
Right now I am at 170lbs, I'm doing Jillian Michael's DVDs because I really enjoy them and find them easier to stick with. I am having my assumed endometriosis treated without surgery so far, so that will hopefully stop messing with my exercise plans. Diet plan is something I'm still hunting around for a new option, just 'eating non-junk' has helped get me to 170, but I still overeat healthier food as bad as I ate the junk! I also quit smoking 2 weeks ago, and that has been great!
My eventual goal is to get back to 130lbs.
Thanks for reading my ramble!
