You have company! I enjoyed a rare glass of wine last night and will need to make sure I am back on track today! As I am getting closer to goal weight I find myself impatient to get finished and finding it harder to make sure I have the stick withitness to finish what I started. Going on phase II helped (esp over Christmas) as I was getting quite tired of IP packets. Might need to hit phase I hard again to get rid of the last lot.

I hear you. This last 5 pounds is taking me forever to lose.... I just can't seem to keep my head in the game. That post about the cost of cheating really hit home with me. I weigh in on Wednesday and there is no reason I can't meet goal (according to my scale I have 2 pounds to go). So as of this morning I have rededicated myself to being 101% on protocol. No small cheats, NONE!

I wonder if this is common, or just a lack of stick-to-it-ness on my part?

This site is great...just gotta figure out how to use it! First WI today and down 5.8 lbs!!!! Really enjoy most of the IP products. Biggest struggle has been finding a salad dressing that tastes good! WF honey dijon almost made me cry--but I have never been a fan of fat free dressing...I will keep searching

Shelley - I'm not a big fan of the WF dressings either. In the recipes thread I found one that is great - EVOO, lemon juice, dijon mustard and stevia. Play with the measurements a little (the EVOO within our daily allotment) to your taste. You can also 'doctor' up your WF dressings a little to make them more palatable.

I had a big 'OOPs' last night. It's been a hectic week at work and a bunch of the girls wanted me to go with them to the local brew pub after work. My resolve crumbled and I had a glass of wine along with dry seasoned chicken wings and Caesar salad.
It had been such a good week this week up until that - my scale was telling me that I was down about 3 lbs since Tuesday's WI. It's the getting kicked out of ketosis part that is the most frustrating.

Well, today is a new day, I'll put in extra time on the treadmill and make sure I'm on protocol 100% with more than the regular water. Hopefully I will still be able to salvage the rest of the week before next WI and come out of it with a 3-4 lb loss. That is the average I want to maintain to hit my mini-goal before our Mexico vacation in March.

I think we all get a little impatient, I have been going through the same thing. I have finally started phase 3 and am on my second and final week. (Thank the good Lord) I have lost a total of 40 lbs and have never felt better. I am able to sleep better (without sleeping pills) Do not ache when I get out of bed. I have been able to stop taking my back pain meds. i am going to be 50 this year and feel so much better. Good luck to everyone and keep up the great work. I just love this site. I get up every morning and check in and read all the post. It keeps me so motivated. I think I can make better choices, cause my body is really enjoying the GOOD food I am eating. I was a junk food addict (Wendy's, Chinese, Mexican all the fast food grease joints and I drank soda by the cases) Hopefully I will continue to make the good choices, I have to remember how good I feel.

I AM NOT ALONE! I was totally busted last night too, cause I wrote my facebook status as having a glass of wine, and sleeping in. Pegsi busted me! LOL!

Back on track. The wine is empty, and I had my glass of beer I wanted too! I also had myself my sleep in. It was a rough week, no excuses, I know. Just not feeling near as bad now. We're all human!

Just joined a local gym and finished my first workout. It feels great to be able to move like this again.
Have a blessed day!

Hey ladies -- glad you're all committed to getting back on the straight and narrow.

A request to all: If you want to share the details of what your slip, oops, or off-program detour, would you do it in the Ooops Thread? That way people who are feeling a little weak about their commitment to following the protocol won't be tempted by your slip. By all means share that the detour occurred and what you need to get back on track or that you don't know what you need to get back on track, just no food porn! It's hard to know what's going to trigger somebody else.

Too funny! Friday evenings can be rough. Oh well, s___ happens. Onwards we go. I feel better now that I've been on the treadmill and have had water, IP omelet and supplements. Now it's off to work I go to try and get caught up on all my paperwork while the branch is closed and all is quiet except for the music on my iPad. I figure if I'm caught up and less stressed at work, I'm less likely to get pulled over to the dark side.

I think it's quite common! I've been going nuts for a couple weeks now, and feeling very impatient. I wanted to get to my goal before I started phase 2, but I ended up starting 1 pound shy because I needed the change in routine. I just want to lose a few pounds beyond goal so if I rebound on phase 3-4 I'm at least at goal when things settle down. I've paid my dues for 6-1/2 months, I'm ready to move on!
