I just love asking people what line of work they are in. If you are currently searching for employment, what type of job do you want?
I am a legal secretary and investigator for the Texas Attorney General. I prepare all sorts of legal documents for court and also look for people who are not too keen on letting us know their current location.
And I absolutely love it!

Reason: forgot something
I am a laboratory technician in a Virology/Medical Entomology lab. I work with many types of viruses in a containment lab and lots of molecular biology.
Although I am quitting at the end of this semester and going off to get my phd somewhere!
I work for an accounting firm doing executive work I love my job but Im attending college so that in the near future I can become an accountant/finance something lol not sure exactly what I want to do since its so many different ways to go but yeah thats what I do, I also am learing some light bookkeeping functions.
By day, I work in HR for a candy company, but by night, I run a business that does freelance writing, web design/maintenance and marketing consultations for online business owners. I'd love to be full-time with my business at some point, but it's a big transition to make. For now, the day job suits its purpose
I'm a medicolegal death investigator at a state medical examiner's office AND I LOVE MY JOB!!! It's what I went to school for and I was lucky enough that they hired me with only a 3month internship worth of experience!!! I investigate unnatural deaths (homicides, suicides, accidents) and deaths where there is no primary care physician. I respond to scenes, conduct a brief body exam, document with photography, and prepare reports for the pathologists. I do NOT perform autopsies, even though I would LOVE to! HaHa Call me a sicko, but I think it's soooo interesting (and someone's gotta do it)!! Something new every day
I'm unemployed and a full-time student. I enjoy the time from the first, while the lack of money and growing student loan debt is worrying. As for the student part, I'm mostly content, I love being an English major, but I've had a couple frustrating semester, so ask again later.
I want to be a high school English teacher. I'm hoping I like it because its too late to turn back now!
I'm a grad student and work as a teaching assistant for my department (Computer Science). I hate being a TA right now because I'm "in charge" of a freshman intro course for non-majors. 100 emails 20 minutes before the assignment is due, kids asking for help with homework when they've put no effort into it (not even finding the assignment half the time)... ugh.
But it's my last semester as a TA, I think/hope... =) Then taking an internship and a special semester-long training course before finally looking for a job at a software company specializing in video games.
Up until 2 years ago, I worked in customer service for an oil company for almost 9 years. I left after my last maternity leave ended this past March to stay at home and homeschool my kids.
I also do professional family & wedding photography on a very part-time basis.
I'm a grad student in biochemistry and cell biology, working toward my PhD. I work with yeast, studying pathways they use to send proteins where they need to go in the cell, at exactly the times they need to get there. I love my lab! I'm also still taking a few classes.
This semester I'm also a teaching assistant in a biochemistry lab that meets for 8+ hours a week for senior biochemistry majors, I think. It's only been a week, but they ought to be fairly smart kids if they got into an Ivy League school, so I think it will go smoothly enough.
