I love this, I am having such a hard time not giving in to sugar at work.

so my new habit is to follow through with NOT eating sugar/processed foods.

DAY:
1) 252.8 success
Sat and Sun not at work and had sugar :-(
2) 254.6 paying for being bad on the weekend.
3) 252.0 success
4) 253.6 totally failed and had taco bell for lunch at work :-(
5)
6)

Day 7 of my 5 day per week strength training routine completed. I'm one third of the way there, this is exciting, I didn't think I'd make it past day 5 to be honest.

Yesterday morning I had a very upsetting phone call, first thing. My first instinct was to crawl back in bed, but I thought , "wait a minute, I'm not going to let this person ruin my streak" I did my routine and it really cleared a lot of my anxiety and hopelessness away. I was able to carry on with my work as usual and had a productive day after all.

The added exercise is making me so tired, I'm really out of shape, but eventually I will feel better.

Tortie, You are inspiring to me! This is so true about exercise improving mood and being a challenge to start a new routine. YOU go girl! I am hoping to do either a lift or aerobic tomorrow morning, cause it is a non walk day. Elbow rub please . I just decided to lift, so wish me luck at getting out of bed tomorrow and lifting.

Day 7 complete (no diet soda)
Day 1 complete (30 day shred)

tortie I am sorry that you got upsetting news, I hope that whatever it was ends up being okay in the end. GREAT job at doing your routine in spite of the bad news, that is HUGE!!! I noticed you had another thread going about eating less and working out; I have lost 72 lbs since last Thanksgiving and I have not counted calories, or any other popular diet plan, nor do I regularly exercise (I am going to do my video tonight though)!! I did cut out wheat and cut down on alcohol, the rest has come off by making better decisions most of the time and it has been working just fine. A little slower than some of the gals on here, but I can make this a lifestyle and I am happy with it!

working it will be hard getting out of your comfy bed tomorrow, but there will be no better feeling of accomplishment when you are wrapping up your lift, what a way to set the tone for the day!!! I am going to do the 30 day shred tonight, I already have on my workout clothes so there is no backing out now!!

Keep it up Chicks, you can do it!

I stayed in bed longer than on a walking day but managed to do a 30 minute lifting dvd before I was awake enough to think about it. It feels good to get that under my belt. Good luck on your 30 day shred!

Working, thanks so much, and good luck!

Kfunk Thank you for sharing that. That's what I'm looking for, changes that are sustainable. If the weight comes off a bit more slowly, that's okay.

oh, and the upsetting phone call was just someone I did not want to hear from. One of those toxic family members who makes my blood run cold. I just deleted their message and didn't return the call. They usually move on to someone else, I'm pretty low on their list.

Day 8 completed! I am so grateful for this challenge, because this morning I did not want to exercise. I would have much rather sat on the couch nursing a third cup of tea while day dreaming. But I got of my backside for the team, and followed through for myself, and felt all the better for it.

Go Team 21!

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!! I am going to do my workout video today and tomorrow, no matter what!!

tortie congrats on day 8!!!! Good for you for deleting that message and moving on

On day 2 I took a pause day for my workout videos, not a great start!!

Day 8 was completed for my diet sodas, but my husband picked up a diet pepsi for me and it is sitting in the fridge taunting me. I think I am going to give it to my friend who lives across the street!

9/23 - Pause Day #2 - We ran out of freezer jam at dinner, so I decided to make a batch after dinner. After you put the sugar in and stir for a while the only way to tell if you've stirred enough(till all the crystals are desolved) is to taste it, which I did. After several tastes and near completion I realized I had broken my no food after dinner challenge------ugh! So second pause day was not planned.

kfunk, hoping you gave that soda to the freind and have dh on board with your challenge.

tortie, Yeah on day 8 of your strength training routine completed.

Hey ladies, I hope everyone is doing well!!

[B][/workingB] you are doing so well with this challenge!! I wouldn't feel too badly about your second pause day, its frustrating that it wasn't planned, but in this case it sounded unavoidable!!

I did give that diet pepsi to my friend, BUT last night we had a wedding and I ended up having a 2 cups of diet pepsi. I still haven't had diet coke since I started this challenge, but I would like to rid myself of all beverages that contain artificial sugars!!

I also did not work out Saturday or Sunday like I promised myself that I would. I need to get my butt going and finish this month strong!! I am not giving up though because to me that is the only thing that qualifies as failure. Since yesterday was my fourth pause day I am going to start back over at 0.

No diet beverages: 9/25 Day 1 COMPLETE
30 Day Shred: 9/25 Day 1 PAUSE

Day 9 completed. Feel like I'm wading through molasses this morning, but I pushed through.

So encouraging to read of re-starts, it means we're not giving up on ourselves
