Tyla - Glad you're better and you have your strength back.

I had a great day. I ate good and I did a 45 minute walk after work. On Friday's after work, I have a hard time working out but I did it today. I also have a bad habit of snacking in the car but I'm tying to break this habit. Today I almost snacked on some pretzels on my way home but I didn't. I was so proud of myself.

I hope everyone else has had a successful day.

GettinFit, you are doing great! Me, not so much, unless my plan includes 2 pieces of brownie peanut butter pie. But I walked for an hour this morning and am going to get on the bike for 40 minutes, so that should work off about 1/2 a piece. Maybe 1/4.

I'm not too upset because I've stayed pretty close to my calorie limit this week. And today I shopped at the Talbot's Outlet for the first time and easily fit into a medium. I'm trying to find that balance between complacency (bad) and setting unrealistic goals (also bad).

Even though I had an awful day yesterday, I still stayed strong. That's a big deal! Thanks, GettinFit, for your support! Keep up the great work!

Good morning ladies,

Steph - You have done an amazing job this last year losing over 80 pounds! As long as you've worked the brownie pb pie into your plan, it's okay. It's not like you have it every day. Congrats on fitting a Talbot's size medium too.

Tyla - You have the right attitude. Just take it one meal at a time today and do your best.

I had been wanting an amaretto sour for weeks but I wouldn't have it because of the sugary sweet & sour mix used to make it but yesterday I found sugar free sweet & sour mix. The amaretto liqueur was 110 cals per serving & the mix was 10 cals so I had 2 amaretto sours for 240 calories. That's what one regular one would have cost me. It was so good and it didn't taste sugar free.

Today should be pretty easy for me.

Today's Journal

B: Corn Chex w/ 1 C skim milk
L: Chicken salad on light wheat toast & Cucumber
D: Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer Dinner, veggie
S: String cheese, plum, honey dew melon
Exercise: Firm Hi Def Sculpt

I haven't felt very well the past few days so I've been taking it easy. Its rained off and on, the rain cools it off for a few minutes but then turns the city into a sauna. We get to go to the dentist tomorrow! So excited about that!

Hello everyone,

Penguin - I hope you're feeling better today

All is good with me. I had a few too many nuts yesterday but otherwise I did pretty good. I did Turbo Jam's 20 minute workout and the Firm's Total Body Time Crunch. Today I may go to the gym to walk indoors or I may do a DVD. Eating will be good today and I am challenging myself to NOT have any peanuts today.

I hope everyone else is doing good and has an OP Monday

My Journal
B: Breakstone Cottage cheese double, plum, coffee
L: Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer, 2 Hershey's dark chocs
S:banana, 100 Cal Popcorn
D: Chicken salad sand w/cucumber
Exercise Walk or DVD

Default First Day on south beach

Hello all,
Today is my first day on (or back on in a long while) the SBD. I saw this forum and thought it would be a great one to participate in, as staying on plan is my biggest goal/hurdle for now.

Hope everyone is doing well.

BW

Hello and BW & Jennie. Nice to have you posting with us.

Jennie - From what I've read that is an achievable goal. I recently entered my info into Loseit and it said that I should consume 1362 calories to lose 2 pounds a week according to my age, weight, height. When I eat this amount plus my exercise calories, I am completely satisfied. This is only my second week doing this so hopefully I'll be about 8 pounds down in a month.

I wish you two much success. You can do it

Jennie, I'd like to point out that 9 pounds isn't a lot to lose in total, so it may be hard for you to do that in 5 weeks without severely restricting your calories. I lost 10 pounds a month for 6 months, but that was going from 225 to 165. It took me 4 months to lose the next 20 pounds, and now I'm losing maybe 1/2 pound a week. I'm in my 50s, though, so that may be part of it for me. I just don't want you to get discouraged if your loss is slower than you hope!

Did well over the weekend. Stayed within my calorie range and exercised.

We can make this happen together.

Good morning ladies,

Great job Tyla

So far so good for me. I stayed away from the peanuts yesterday and I also got out and did a nice walk at Stone Mtn. I almost didn't go because the temp was 93 degrees at the time. It ended up being very nice because I was in a shaded area. I'm hoping to go again today. That is such a good cardio workout for me because of the hills and I love it! I'm just so ready to see some inches gone from my body.

Steph - I've been faithfully tracking on Lose it. I love the barcode scanner feature.

Penguin - How are you feeling today?

I hope everyone is having a great OP day.

I think I'm getting a summer cold, Yuck. I'm snuffly and just plain tired.

My checkup was fine but Hubby was told he needs to go see a specialist about potential bone loss! Not great news for him.
