Kuri - If I can do it, anybody can. I don't people will look at you like you are crazy when you do the walk/run intervals. Lots of people did C25K and most runners start with intervals. They'll know what you are doing! I am sure your dog will be all excited going for a run with you.
Good Luck! Let us know how it went.
Kuri- My family were yelling at me I mean Pissed off all out yelling at me every time I got rid of clothes or they saw me with the scale because I was losing weight. I know its frustrating seeing your sister be depressed over it and order 500 cal drinks, My mother would eat a whole gallon of ice cream IN ONE SITTING and complain she needs to lose her weight. I know she was yelling at me because she wanted the success i am having. Your sister will jump on board with you when she is ready and will probably get to goal a long time after you do but you know what? She will start and you know what else? it WILL be because YOU set the example. Be patient I know it is frustrating and she will ump on sooner or later. It took 6 mos and 3 ls shy of 60 for my mother to jump on with me and she has more weight to lose than I do. I promise you though eventually your sister will join you and it will be a joyous day!
Just checking in all Swam for 1.5 hrs in our pool. More like used my arms to drag myself around the perimeter for an hr and a half with my nephew sitting on my back HAHA but it was so fun. I didn't want to get out! Hoping you all are having a butt-er busting day!
josey: I wish my dog would go with me... he doesn't run. >< He'll sit down in the middle of a trot and refuse to budge for a few minutes. >< Lazy dog... He's always been that way.
SMSDREAMER2007: I hope she starts with me. ><
I love swimming, good job for doing it!
Kuri - too funny!! I love dogs. We have a cat who is a real comedian but I would like to have a dog, horse, llama, alpaca, donkey, chicken, ... a whole zoo! ;-)
I was wondering where you are, yeah about that truck, i backed out at the last minute, instead i'm thinking it might be wiser to buy new again instead, they are trying to get rid of the 2011's and are offering up a 10000 dollar discount on one putting it at 33000, which is 13000 more but the interest rate is 2 percent lower plus i get a five year warranty and everything is new, with the improved V8 360 horses, oh yeah baby... I don't need a new truck, somebody stop me.
Happy weekend, everyone! Today was an emotional, stressful day (my MIL and my husband have a very contentious relationship, and I ended up in the middle of their latest blowup today), but I was really glad that I could get to the gym tonight and walk a little of that stress out on the treadmill. My food choices haven't been the healthiest today, but I'm glad that even when my emotions are high I am able to at least keep my calorie intake in check. Tonight will be water, water, water to help wash all of the crud out of my system.
DREAMER: Glad to hear you've motivated your mom and your sister! It's awesome to be able to share all you've learned and pass on those better habits to others who are interested.
Sarati: Yay on the pants front, and I'm glad you're having so much sucess with logging your intake! It really helps me too.
Cheshire: LOVE this morning's poster.
KittyKat: CONGRATS on the 30 lbs!!! I remember how completely awesome it felt to hit that mark - WAY TO GO!! I am super pleased for you!
K3LL3Y: That's a huge difference on the pants size! I'm glad to read that you're focusing on those positive achievements - they really remind us of just how far we've come. I hope you're feeling better soon!
Riestrella: Good luck tomorrow - you're going to do great!
Rainbow: Always happy to see you here
josey: CONGRATULATIONS on completing C25K! That's fantastic!
MadamB: Wherever you're headed, have a blast this weekend! (I know you will )
kuri: Good luck getting started with C25K! If any of those non-exercisers give you a funny look, just remember that you're doing a lot more than they are.
Resolute: I am staying on the new vs. used truck, lol. I'm glad you've had fun looking at and considering them though.
Why is it that before each new long run I spend so much time fretting over it? I am about to put on my shoes, stretch and go 9 miles. In a way it scares me, but I also know that I did 8 last week with no problems, so 9 today will be fine...but tell that to the butterflies in my stomache.
Morning Platoon!--Just a fly by before a quick workout then off to a wedding.
Congrats to Rated and Anon on those early loss reports. AMAZING!!!!

Kneed -- Go back to Jeanettey's post #112 where she gave us a weekly exercise challenge. Dreamer is correct in her "superman" description but you can also google it for a youtube description.
