Does the half price book place have a web site? I usually get my books from www.half.com I don't think we have one of those here.
I will watch for your recipes ! have a good Thanksgiving.

I am going to make the cheesecake above for me, and try some loaded cauliflower instead of potatoes and a lettuce salad, which I hate, and maybe some jello.

Crustless Pumpkin Pie

1 3/4 cups pure pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) I usually use one can and it works perfect
3 eggs
3/4 cups sucralose (splenda) I also only use granulated splenda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 3/4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
3/4 cup light cream or half and half
light whipped cream ( for topping )

preheat oven to 350
liberally coat a 9 in pie pan with cooking spray
whisk together all ingredients except whipped cream
pour mix into pie pan and bake for 35 to 40 mins. to test for doneness stick a toothpick in the middle if it comes out clean its done.
let cool and chill in fridge.

One piece of pie equals 5x5 carb Enjoy

Low Carb Chicken Parmesan

the recipe calls for 2 chicken breast but i always make 4

1/2 cup no sugar aded spaghetti sauce ( i make mine from scratch out of the MM book, the recipe with the spaghetti squash )

1/2 cup shredded mozarella cheese
1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese
garlic salt to taste
italian seasoning to taste

preheat oven to 375
spray a shallow baking dish with non stick cooking spray
season each side of chicken breast with garlic salt and italian seasoning, place in casserole dish
spoon pasta sauce equally over top of each breast
bake for about 45 mins sprinkle cheeses equally over each breast bake an addition five mins to let cheeses melt.
Serve and ENJOY!!

says here total carbs is 0.6 but if you use the recipe for the sauce from the spaghetti squash recipe i think it would be neutral because that sauce is a freebie and chicken and cheese are as well

My fiancee likes this more than when i would bread it and cook on a skillet, the chicken comes out more moist .

I always make the jello salad every year. I thought it tasted really good even though I left out the marshmellows and pineapple!

Looks like the only carbs in the pecan pie would be the syrup. I can't get the zero carb kind, I know it is available on the internet.
