Hi everyone, this is my log for July 18th,

Weigh in - 221.8 lbs. (hoping I drop down to 217-218 by the end of this month )

Calories for the Day - 1,706

Exercise - None

Nsv on 7/17 - I finally ended a relationship with someone I was having a hard time letting go of, so I lost about 212 lbs overnight , still love him but good riddance sweetie! Also I got the recognition on my weight loss I was waiting for from a awesome lady at my Sephora store, that meant a lot.

I've been following your journey ever since I joined Candid. Love this leg of the trip!

I love your new profile pic It looks much more like the "you" that I've seen in a couple other pics (the ones in a dressing room are what come to mind). You're simply gorgeous!

Sorry to hear about the relationship change. I know even when we're ready, those things are never easy. Congrats on knowing that while you do still love him, the relationship just isn't right.

I love watching your progress!

Omigosh thank you for making my day Vickie Chickie!! You have no idea what that means to me, I've been the girl following other people's journeys so to have someone follow mine just means the world to me, seriously. Thank you again, and congratulations on your weight loss, you're so close to goal, keep going chica! <3 I can't wait to hit 199.8 lbs. I have 20.2 lbs. to go from today's weigh in, I was hoping to get there by my b-day in October but I will be happy to even hit my 95 lbs. down mark (I'll be 206.6 lbs.) by then which is 13.4 away , whoa! For some reason I thought it was further (math was never my strong suit ) but we'll see. Exercise is my weakest link, I just prefer to eat healthier than actually sweat, but luckily I do love my videos when I do them, so that is a plus? lol

Thank you so much skinnyki!

Hi everyone, this is my log for July 22nd,

Weigh in - 220.8 lbs.

Calories for the Day - 4,467 (yes you read that correctly, those are holiday dinner numbers! Those are buffet numbers, or binge numbers!). As you can imagine no-weigh in until Monday (my official weigh in day). I think I'm still going through PMS (yeah just blame the hormones ) and I am hoping that in spite of this bad day to not only be on track until Monday (and there after hopefully) but to have a "whoosh" weight loss, we'll see! #forevertheoptimist

Exercise - None

Weigh in - No weigh in today

Calories for the Day - 1,959 compared to yesterday, this is really great! lol

Exercise - I had to edit this, I did in fact get a workout in *WOOHOO!!* I did 1 mile of Leslie Sansone, I'm tired of being sick and tired, of being robbed of the 2-teens because I don't want to exercise, forget that! lol

Hi everyone, this is my log for July 24th,

Weigh in - 223 (4 lbs. higher than my lowest, but keep in mind I am still PMSing waiting for TOM to show up *tmi* lol and I did binge the day before yesterday.)

Calories for the Day - 1,864

Exercise - I did my 1 mile of Leslie Sansone *woohoo* my back was hurting a little, but I made it through to the end.

Quote of the day - "It can be a slow & hard journey, but quitting won't speed it up." - Unknown <<This has significant meaning to me, because so many of us (self-included) at some point have tried to accomplish something, namely weight loss and failed due to giving up. As someone wisely said we only fail when we stop trying. That said, if you are unhappy w/your size and you stop here, you'll probably try again later (I have full faith in you ) but it will be the same battle, so why not get it out of the way now? Keep going! The only thing you should quit is delaying the inevitable, you're meant to be successful. <3<3

Hi everyone, this is my log for July 25th,

Weigh in - 223.4

Calories for the Day - 1,870

Exercise - None

Quote of the day -
1. The version found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

-this version is credited to Mother Teresa

The above quote is not only helpful in life, but on our weight loss journey. You've probably had your days, weeks or months of staying on program and for whatever reason your hard work isn't reflected on the scale, keep working hard anyway! You're worth the effort, there are rewards besides weighing less that come from good self-care. And eventually...the scale will move, I'm proof of that, I'm sure you are too, or will be, keep going!

Hi everyone, this is my log for July 27th,

Weigh in - 222

Calories for the Day - 1,617

Exercise - I did Leslie Sansone Ultimate Walk At Home (my first ever Leslie DVD) 1 mile walk but I don't mind saying I put my heart into it.

Nsv - Yesterday on the 26th I visited Target and tried on some Mossimo skinny jeans in a Misses/straight size 18 (by the way they are giving away a $10 coupon for the jeans to anyone who tries on a pair) and the size 18 was loose in the waist!! That was a happy feeling! Also looking back on old pictures on FB is really inspiring.

Quote of the day - "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. "
- Thomas A. Edison <<<< This quote has special meaning to me because today was rough to say the least. I woke up with the expectation of being a couple of pounds lighter than yesterday and instead I gained .4 lb. yay me! Lol
It put me in a dark place, I wanted to pig out in the worst way, I could feel a binge coming on, but it didn't happen. Because if I'm honest with myself I haven't been giving it my all lately, though I've been at a deficit (my maintenance calories are about 2,300 per day, I've been getting between 1,800-2,000 per day) I know I can do better. Not to mention the lack of exercise for the past 2-3 days I believe. Good news is my TOM arrived today woohoo, no more hormonal binges, now just the emotional ones , I jest.

Bonus quote of the day - "Sometimes doing your best is not good enough. Sometimes you must do what is required."

- Winston S. Churchill

candid Your post was really inspiring! Congrats on the several NSvs! In the long run, they are what matters, imo. Hoping for a post-TOM WHOOSH for you!
