CC Thanksgiving Challenge

It's time for a new Calorie Counters' Holiday Challenge!

Everybody did great on the Halloween DAY Challenge.
Some of us met our goals, some of us only got partway there, but we all put in a great effort, learned some lessons, made new friends, and supported each other... and that's what these challenges are for. Now, we're ready to set our sights on a new challenge, new goals, and the next 4 weeks and 2 days of this journey!

Here's how it works... Set a goal or goals that you would like to reach before Thanksgiving , November 26th, 2009. Your goals can be anything: pounds you want to lose, a smaller clothing size or outfit you'd like to fit into, sports or fitness achievements, or just a goal of keeping food and exercise on track. Whatever gets you excited about working your plan over the next few weeks, is the right goal for this challenge. You can set as many or as few goals as you like.

All are welcome! If you're not sure what your goal will be yet, but would like to join up and find some weight loss buddies, get and give support, please jump in, and you can post a goal later, when you think of something. Our main purpose is to motivate each other to keep the food on plan, keep exercising, keep getting leaner, more fit, and healthy.



I may not be able to check in daily,Since I am a mom of 3~ But I will do my best too. HAVE A GREAT CHALLENGE EVERYONE!

MY Goal For this challenge will be To Reach anywhere in the 160's For a new decade.


On The 11th Of November it will be My 1 year anniversary Of counting calories ~SO I am excited to see what my grand total of weight loss in a year will be~I will Proboly post before & after Pics of this occasion....Not sure yet.
So this will be a big in between the challenge occasion for me personally!!!
To reach a loss of 90 pounds total in a year would be awesome!

My goal will be to to not binge at ALL. I also want to hit the 170's since right now I'm at 184.4 =(

If I could lose another 6lbs (10 might be too much since my weight loss has slowed considerably recently).

My goal is to lose 10 lbs. I am pretty good at this calorie counting thing its getting easier and easier. Good luck to everyone!!

Hello! I just joined today. I would absolutely love to stick to my WW points until Thanksgiving is over. Let's see if I can lose 8 lbs, which will get me past my 5% milestone.

Nice to meet you guys!

(I totally realize I'm not technically a CC chick, but can I take part in the challenge anyway?)

Nenu~No problem~I am happy to have you to join this challenge...I hear ww Is a super program and very near to Counting calories with instead a point program....Maybe you can give us all some helpful tips throughout the challenge!!!! So glad you joined!

Thanks, Lori. What a kind welcome!

Just for background: I was a CC for years and years... I only joined WW because my cousin asked me to come to meetings with her. The reason I think WW is better for me personally (although we'll see) is that I'm really ready to put the rule-making in someone else's hands and just concentrate on the self-control aspect of dieting. When I make my own rules I'm always too strict and it's gotten me into trouble in the past.

So yeah, I might be going back to CC once I learn more about what "moderation" is.

Haha, I'm really excited. Let's do this thing!

My goals include:

Getting below 220 (I'm new, so I'm not sure how my body will react for a month-I may blow this goal out of the water, but I also may JUST reach this goal by Thanksgiving).

Another goal is to remain active in counting my calories and reporting them on my fitday.com account. I want to also exercise at least 5x/week, even if it is walking in my living room to Leslie Sansone's WATP.

Yeah for goals!

My weight goal is to reach ONEDERLAND! So basically, 199.9 will make me happy =) Of course, anything lower will make me extremely happy!

Also, to work out at least 4 days per week!

The scale read 191.2 this morning....BLAH!!! So, my goal is to be back down to my 188 and preferably down to 185 by Thanksgiving.

I did well during the Halloween challenge, so I'm gonna jump in on this one too. I am currently 280.6 lbs and would love to lose 10 lbs by Thanksgiving. Looking forward to everyone making the goals that they set for themselves.
