You were at your goal weight? Just something I wonder about.
I've been overweight most of my life, so I'm uncertain when the last time was I weighted 145 or anywhere near it. I was definitely a preteen. I got down to 189 a couple months ago and every time I saw a new low it was for the first time in over a decade. So I'm looking forward to getting back there and seeing those new lows again.
So just curious who out there is losing the weight after a long time of carrying it, and who figured things out a lot quicker and hasn't been fighting the battle of the bulge for quite so long.
For me it was about six years ago before I had my daughter. I was always thick but never something to be ashamed of (although I swore I was fat back then) Now when I look back at photos I think to myself "What the f*** were you thinking!! What I wouldnt give to have that body back" I gained 60 pounds when I was pregnant and it just never went away Until now that is!!!
im at my lowest adult weight right now...in the low 190s...but my goal weight is 150 and im not sure how i'll look at that point...i know when i was in high school i wore a size 14-16 jeans but i think sizes have changed since then too...right now i can wear a size 12 jeans and size 8/10 yoga pants...i have no idea when i weighed 150 last
This is a great question. I can recall being anxious every visit to the pediatrician's office because I knew my weight woudn't fall into the average height/weight charts posted on the walls.
I recently saw my pictures from high school. I couldn't believe how thin I looked at 185 lbs. I have never been back to this weight, but I'm determined to get close to it again.
Good question! Almost 13 years ago, but that was only for a few months. For years I was about 10 lbs over that - I have a 7 year old photo I almost threw away at the time, I was so disgusted with myself. Now it's my inspiration photo!
Last time I was at goal was when I start university. More time out with friends meant more eating out, no packed lunches meant canteen food etc. It got worse when I moved out of home and overseas (at the same time!). I'd never really cooked so got used to eating out a lot as it's cheap in Asia. Both me and the husband gained weight. However, now I'm back in Sydney, it's home cooked meals except for the weekend!
I've never been at my ultimate goal weight of somewhere in the 120-140 range, maybe lower, depending on how I do down there. My first big goal, however, is 165, and that was the lowest I ever was in high school - it was a cute weight on me, but I was definitely still overweight. It seemed like a good first bar to aim for. And now I'm almost there and definitely plan on pushing lower!
