Good morning everyone! or good afternoon, it's 12:21 time flies!

Yes Karen I forgot to mention Niagara-on-the-Lake, picture perfect it was, but being with 2 teens we didn't go shopping there. We're hopping that maybe we can go visit again for our 20th anni. in the fall, there are alot of organized bus tours in and there is a Fall tour for a wine festival, I think, we may try to go on...

Other than that, had a great workout this AM... food is spot on... Life is grand, except for a lot of rain at the moment which I hope will stop for the weekend because I'm having the girls over for a BBQ....

Later all...

Hey all

Well, I have a week off.....I have left the icky job!! YEA!!! My old boss (and friend) called me last week and asked if I would be interested in a position there that is non-sales. We negotiated pay, etc., and I was offered the position. I start on the 8th. It isn't great paying or anything, but I can live with it, and I think I will like it better.

At least I will be able to work out more in the mornings with this job, which means my workouts will be quicker. I just have to get used to getting ready for work at the gym, since it is on my way there.

I just looked at the pics.....Meg, WOW!! You look great!! You truly inspire me, especially since your starting weight was close to mine now. Maybe I will post pics there one day, though I have no "after" pics yet.

Well, off to birthday/back-to-skewl shopping!!

Robin

Robin - I can totally relate to having a job that pays less but makes you happy...

3 day weekend? Damn it! I am back at work today.

I went to visit my Dad in Melbourne on the weekend which made me very grateful to be healthy and alive. When I got home hubby told me about a Ducati that was exactly what he wanted for sale from a friend at a reasonable price and so we are going to buy it this weekend! My initial reaction was - we can't afford it but then I thought about my father and thought - no life's too short, so we are buying it. Hubby is incredibly excited about it!

I did my first week of Getlean and did my best to keep an open mind about it but the carbs in it even though they were clean blew me up like a balloon. Even though my weight didn't fluctuate from last week at all - all my pants became tight again and I felt so bloated. I also got soooo hungry all the time. I went from eating 1400 on low carb and little hunger to 1800 on Get lean (60% carb) and massive hunger?? Quite unusual. Anyway so I decided to go back to the 1400 low carb for a few weeks at a time and then throw in a 2000 normal week now and then to up-regulate my metabolism. I don't want to slow it down too much.

Anyway gotta work so be back later!
