What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have no idea, which is what's so scary about it. Every time I started, I was convinced that "this is it!" but it never is. I hope this time is different, but terrified that it's not. Perhaps what's different is that I have less faith in myself than I have ever had. (Sorry to be a Debby Downer.)
Anything else you would like to share with us: I would love to know someone nearby with similar goals -- an accountability buddy!

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Always, this time: Jan 29/12
Starting Weight: 215
Goal Weight: 160
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I have always yo-yo'd my entire life. I will lose the weight, keep it off a few years, then gain it back. I was at 150 for a couple of years this last time but then slowly gained it back over the past 2 years....I want it off again.
Following any specific plan: I do crazy things...but mostly low calorie/low carb.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I do not know...I want to do it, but for the past 6 months I keep failing. When I am in *the zone* I can diet hardcore, and I can't seem to get back into *the zone*...but I want it. The zone to me, is when that switch in my head flips and puts me on a straight course to my goal...I see it and want it so much, nothing deters me. I can't seem to get that switch to flip again though.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I hate myself.
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: changing life long habits
Following any specific plan: no...trying to do things that will be life long. Low carb due to husband diabetes
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: More time...kids are grown up, husband has lots of other interests so I can focus on me!

Height: 5 ft 4 inches, although my Dr says I have lost 1/4 inch I refuse to give it up
Starting Weight: 183...highest in life was 2 lbs more at 185.5
Goal Weight: 155
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weight loss: Financial ability to purchase the foods I need to eat to loose. Time to try and only make foods for myself and something different for everyone else....can't make that work.
Following any specific plan: I like South Beach Diet....or lower carbs if I have a way to purchase that.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am having some "aging" issues with weight gain and loss. Loss not happening, and gaining with no reason. I highly suspect hormone related weight issues.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I am also a Christian and I realize that not everyone is. However, this is an important part of who I am and how I expect to find the ability to lose weight and/or stay healthy.
I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35
