Following any specific plan: Just joined Sparkpeople and am tracking my calories. Doing Chalean extreme and TurboJam for exercise.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am determined to do this the healthy way and make exercise and eating healthy a way of life, not just a diet.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I am an outgoing people person. I struggle with anxiety at times, but exercise DOES help.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This time I want it so much more. Also, I am not using food for pleasure anymore.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I've been trying to lose weight for 20 years. I have been around the block and then some. I think I'm wiser now. (Well, I hope so )

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Currently the difference is that now i can't exercise as i normally do because i broke my foot so i need to be extra good on the food
Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm a bit of a long term yo-yoer i.e. historically about 3 years from peak to trough and i've done that a number of times. My highest weight has been about 144lb but not been there for about 4 years now, so mindful it's kind-of due! Lowest ever was 114 about 3 years ago and i've gradually been increasing since then so it's time to address it again. I've never followed official diets, but just been of the 'sensible eating and plenty of exercise' brigade. Also if i can turn it into a competition with a friend or two then that's where i really see results!!! So hopefully this forum will keep me focused and motivated at least until i can exercise again (sob of self pity)
Hobbies/Interests: I am huge into reading, and I love to cook. Have spent a lot of time recently trying to develop some good low cal recipes that taste great!

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss:As a cook, I feel like I need to put gloves on when I am making stuff..so hard not to nibble as I create. I love food..I just need to learn to love it in moderation.
Following any specific plan: Eat less, exercise more. It seems to work the best.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I finally got my mind in the right place. Instead of trying to lose weight to look better, or to be sexier for my husband..I am losing weight, because I simply did not feel healthy at my highest weight, and realised that I was to an age where all this extra weight was seriously threatening my life.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I have a major snacking issue, if I'm not busy doing something I am looking for something to eat. I love to eat.
Following any specific plan: cut out junk food (only 100 cal snacks) cut out soda, take away the burgers and other fried foods. Eat every 3 hours and try to keep my foods with me so that I don't slip up in the first week It's gonna be hard my husband loves to snack.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Not really sure yet. I am truly tired of looking like I'm about 5-6 months pregnant.

As a more mature person, I am aware that quality of life is more important to me than how I look on the outside. This has made me realize that a diet was not the way to go this time. I have changed my entire outlook on food, exercise and life in general...

I want to weigh 125#'s because that's what I weighed after the birth of my first 2 children. I didn't get fat until after I turned 30, and now I want my body back. I'm tired of looking like my M-I-l on the beach!

I lost 25 lbs 4 years ago by walking/biking/eating better, but since remarrying it has slowly crept back. I almost completely stopped exercising routinely....just hit or miss, and of course I started cooking more for the hubs.
