Wait I have an excuse! When I started the challenge I was all giddy. Then I found out I have to have a hysterectomy. Going in tomorrow. I am all bloated and I just overate on plan food. Please don't kick me out! The sucky part is the doc said I will be swollen/bloated for a long time. No matter I am still doing this.
Isles we got a snowstorm. Today and tomorrow is dangerously cold.
Good job everyone who lost. Those who didn't good job still sticking with it!
Silent I appreciate your friendship and support but it is OK for you to lose on the weeks I gain. Maybe more dancing when you are out partying for me!

Good afternoon everyone.

Another week with no change in my weight. I have been perfect in staying under calorie goal and have stated doing some exercise. One more week and I will take a hammer to my scale. (This is a threat to see if I can scare my scale into moving) LOL

My body is evidently changing because my waist is getting smaller. I am using belt holes that I have not used before. Maybe I am losing fat and gaining muscle from my exercise

WANNA - Great loss again this week hun Thanks for the info .. I do see the bars at the checkout of the supermarket .. was tempted to get one the other day as a snack until I saw the calories .. bananas are a lot less lol ..

SILENT - oops .. lol .. no worries .. I figure its so cold where you are you probably needed the extra just to accommodate the shivers Glad to see you aren't giving up though

UBEE - Silly lady .. of course you aren't going to get the boot lol .. I wish you well and yes it will take a few weeks for all the swelling to go down enough to make any real difference to your scales .. then there will be a few weeks where you will fluctuate and bloat off and on .. sorry lol .. it doesn't happen to everyone .. just passing on what my sister went though last year .. on the other hand I know a couple of others that went in and out were ab fab in a week or two So just take care and come on back when you can As for Katt .. it was my stage name from about the age of 18/19 .. and it suited me more than Sarah-Jane which really sounds ladylike and I am soooo not ladylike lol.

ISLES - Great job this week and I love your quote!

LARRY - I would say if you are incorporating more than usual exercise or even regular exercise muscle has got to be getting built up somehow. Keep in mind for exercise that Cardio helps to lose the weight, weights and circuits help to build muscle ... I know I don't do exercise properly or routinely yet lol .. but I do know how I need to for the best result .. Im just a lazy moo lol ... but for weight loss while still doing things like weights or circuits .. you do a 10 min warm up .. do the weights and circuits then end with the cardio before you cool down .. if you do it the other way around it will be muscle that will be formed more than weight lost. Don't kill the scale .. its an innocent bystander lol.



Lazy day today .. but Im enjoying it ... catching up on reading and doing my cross stitch .. have started the dinner by marinating the chicken in a Coconut Cream/Teriyaki/Chili Sauce mix .. which I will wipe off and coat with Panko/Parmesan with a squirt of lemon With lots of vegetables of course lol.

Everyone is doing brilliantly ... And before anyone asks what stage my name belonged to .. singing .. and songwriting ... I was just starting to tour and was on the radio in NZ (North Island only lol) when I had my daughter and decided to quit it all and just be a mum .. which I haven't regretted for a second I do still enjoy singing and I write the odd song when the mood hits .. but now its just to my grand babies and sometimes on Singsnap (A US Karaoke site which is a lot of fun lol .. ) I don't have many songs on there now cos I haven't sung for an age and voice is out of sync .. but its a good place to go to play when I need to centre myself again (if you want to hear a recent one I recorded http://www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/b495c1f5c ... its not a great one .. but I love the song lol .. hummmm .. might get my studio set up again .. it is something I think I have been missing ...yep .. something to work on I think Just realised its a part of me that was so much a part of me for a long time (been performing since I was 2) .. and its not that I forgot .. but I didn't give it the priority I should have ... one thing about this journey .. it definitely makes you look at things that you have given up that were a positive in your life because of how you thought you were being seen instead of not giving a darn about what others saw because you enjoyed doing it!

Sorry I have been away for so long.... life kind of took over and I kind of stopped any weight loss effort and therefore monitoring...

But I am back, and a group of us at work at planning Tuesday work out nights together after school, led by a staff member who used to be a personal trainer!

I'm excited and looking forward to getting back into things..

LESLIE - Great job again this week .. you are doing fab!

LOCKE - Welcome on in .. great you have been keeping track too .. and wow .. great results .. do you have a goal for the next few month (to end of april)? That way I can pop it into my chart

So okee .. this has definitely NOT been an on plan week for me .. I have been so off track its ridiculous! I am not stressing too much about it though because I was well behaved over my wedding, xmas & new year in comparison so I figured this week I had so many things to fit in that I will have the odd treat .. yeah .... well the odd part didn't work and I just didn't hold the temptation at bay I did my check on the scales yesterday morning as I do each week (Friday morning for me) and I had added up 4.4 pounds!! .. Talk about depressing .. soooooo ... time this weekend to keep well in control to try to recover some of that bad behaviour ... what did I do different this week?

Monday started ok .. had my usual dinner ... Tuesday I was too hot to cook .. so I made 3 salad sandwiches using really thin bread and it was the first bread I have had in MONTHS! ... Wednesday I had a bag of chips ... and I don't mean the small ones! Thursday went to one of my goddaughters 2nd birthday .. went and had half of a BIG sausage roll (removed the pastry though) and a whole carrot cupcake (took off icing) .. then I had a couple of coffees .. and for dinner hunny had bought home chinese (chicken chop suey for me - which I only had about 1/4 of). Friday after the shock in the morning I was going to start behaving .. instead I met up with a friend for a lunchtime coffee and instead of picking something healthy .. I had a cronut .. now they are not little things .. sigh ... then I finished off my chinese for dinner (but I rinsed it all off and then reheated it lol) ... sooooo ... what did I learn this week??

NO MORE CARBS!!! Well .. no bread or similar products .. it just really doesn't like me .. potatoes are barely tolerated I think lol ... soooo today I started again ..

We went up to my home town for a family photo shoot which was a great time .. but hunny did his usual stop at Wendy's on the way up there (as we don't have one in Wellington lol) .. but I stayed in the car while he and my daughter went in .. happily playing on my phone .. then my daughter comes out with my fave frozen dessert ... bloody man! I said no thanks so she took it back to him and he had to eat it lol .. I didn't actually eat a lot today .. lots of fruit if anything .. just too hot really ... but tomorrow Im having meat & veg again and we have another shoot with my daughter & me .. so that will be fun

I hope everyone else has a great weekend .. week 4 is tomorrow so once all the results are in I will post up everyones percentages etc .. so far everyone is doing great

Nightkatt.... Isn't it amazing what we learn about ourselves and how our bodies react to eating what we used to eat??!!! It is wild isn't it! Just remember.. you are human and well days or a week just happens! The most wonderful thing is.. your mind knew better and it gained control again of your thinking to get you back on the wagon again. What a lesson learned (Me too after the holidays)... knowing just KNOWING what we need to do to continue our journey and to NOT GIVE IN to the old temptations! YOU ARE MARVELOUS! I applaud you! (Note...this was mostly water weight gain.. and will whoooooosssshhhhhh away! ) I know that you are having a MARVELOUS day today.. lovely family pictures - Memory keepers I say! AND the best part is... as you take pictures.. you keep changing and shrinking WWEEEEEEEE (Your DH too!)
