jaquie_ I agree with the cooking day and cleaning day today..also some wrapping for me today as well.
We are getting freezing rain again..seems like that is all we are going to get this year.GRRr i had rather have snow anyday!!!
I swore i wasnt baking a bunch of crap this year....but guess what..yep im baking. I have to make 6 pies to take to family meals. I have to take brownies with rolos cut up on top to meals also. Girls want a batch for home as well...Hubby asked for peanut butter balls and daughter each want a favorite kind of cookie and i think i heard the mention of white cupcakes and cinnamon candy. I guess i have to do the work and not eat it!! I will brush my teeth alot to keep from licking the bowls...
My granddaughters baptism is on sunday and I will take all left over there for the fingerfood meal afterwards.
time to get moving...hugs to all...oh drink your water!!(me too)!!!

Hi all,

I just got off work and stopped by the pawn shop to look for some DVD's that my DH wants and I can't find new. I found all 3 of them!!! Only $2 each and they will be great stocking stuffers. I had to work 6 hours and they wanted me to work another 4 on top of that. I bailed on them because my back is hurting so much. I am going to take my pain meds and rest. I think I will skip group tonight too. I have to be at work at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Carol: Thank you so much for letting us know about Johnnie. Poor dear. I will keep her in my prayers. Hi to you and hugs!

Toni: I think writing on your page 1600 is smart! Great job.

Debi: I will continue to pray for your brother and family. I hope he gets to come home soon and that he doesn't have to be on dyalisis for long.

Jacquie: Happy late birthday sweetie!

Well, I'm off to eat something and take a pain med and muscle relaxer.

Blessings all,
Annie

Today has been a long day today I really I am so shattered after going to the oxygen tank and then I went to the works party of my BIL. Then off home I have been then making preparations for my parents coming. Like preparing food ready for tomorrow. This is one girl whom will take no rocking to sleep tonight . The food at the meal out was very nice. I know my portions have got so much smaller since I have commenced on this healthy eating. Prior to that I would have eaten maybe three times as much as I did today. I did have one vice at the meal I had dessert. Though at the MS centre I was also naughty I had one biscuit and 3 chocolates. Good job I am being good over Christmas with my food after that off plan eating.

Again today at the meal I had numerous comments about my weight. I know that when you are dressed up with nice clothes that show off your new figure it shows it even more the weight loss. I think my BIL is now beginning to wonder now whether I am eating properly. Though I think if he came to eat at my house for a day he would be shocked at how much I eat. The tip is what you eat rather than anything else. It is surprising if you are aware about food that you can have a big plate of dinner but if most of the dinner is vegetables they are not much in calories. So many are shocked to hear that I am still clinically classed as overweight. OK not by much but never the less I still am. I know if I go to the doctors for something in the near future i will be asking him what weight he would like be to be at. Then I know for definite and will have an answer to give to people if it is a smidge lower. I would suspect he would like it a wee bit lower just because I have such a history of heart trouble in my fathers side of the family. His sister, father, mother, grandfather, grandfather plus him have all had heart attacks. My father being the only luck one to survive the others only had the one. Dad has lived through 3 now. Dad and granddad both have / had a history with type 2 diabetes. Weight is an issue with both of those condition so a healthier weight will reduce my risk considerably.

It is hard dealing with positive attention I must admit. I have been overweight or clinically morbidly obese for most of my life since teenage years. So that is a long time. Plenty of negative comments came my way but you had a thick skin which you develop over the years. So positive attention is something I am not use to dealing with in any way. Talk about a fish out of water scenario. Thanks for listening only people hear in our situation would understand how we feel. So it is nice to tell someone my difficulties that you have once you lose weight. I suppose I never prepared myself for this in any way. I never thought that people would comment so much.

Sorry no replies to personal posts today but I really do not have a lot of time for that. Will try and drop by as much as I can in the next few days. Though with guests it is not easy.

Time to go I have a wee bit more to do before bed but this was just a sit down and rest before I collapsed in a heap

Hello ladies

Annie
Bratty girl is one good way to describe Caleigh I'm getting quite fed up of trying to be civil with her, and playing "happy family" with her because it's hypocritical. Caleigh is a right brat but she's only nice to my mam when she wants something, usually at Christmas, Easter and her birthday!

Jacquie668
Happy birthday! I hope you are having a good birthday

Purpleorc
Sorry that you've had a long day. I hope you will have some break over Christmas!

As for me, I've had another long day and I am so tired!
I set my alarm last night to wake up at 9.30am this morning but once the alarm went off, I kept pressing the snooze button until... 10.30am! I went downstairs and read a magazine for a bit, to get myself fully awake. I then went to have a shower and got myself dressed to go to the shops before my dad came to fetch me, to go to the crematorium.

I had to go to the shops because I bought a box of Terry's Chocolate Orange Senstations for my dad for Christmas but last night, I was being a pig and opened the box! I was really hungry and it was just there so I had to have some! I don't even like the chocolate so I guess I was really being a pig!

Anyway, as some of you may know, Woolworths is closing down after Christmas, so there was a lot of products sold out in the store and there was only ONE box of the chocolate left on the shelf. I managed to get it in time, before anyone else could get them!
I went to Boots as well and bought myself a Rimmels eyeshadow. The colour is lush! Makes a change from buying chocolate

I got back home and wrapped up the rest of my dad's presents and I then waited for my dad to come and pick me up. We went to the crematorium to put fresh flowers for my nanna on her daughter's grave. Nanna passed away at the age of 79 in August last year so her ashes and name inscription were on her daughter's grave. Her daughter (my aunt) died at the age of 12, a long time ago, due to holes in her heart
I can't imagine how awful it must have been for nanna, burying her child

Anyway, after putting the flowers on my aunt's grave, we went to see my sister. I gave my niece Mia her birthday presents and she LOVED them She is so lush! She's 6 now, I can't believe how quick she is growing!

Gosh! This turned out to be quite a novel! Me and my mouth

Hi all,

Little question for you all....as you work out, do you work out to music? My brother got me an Itunes card for Christmas, and I am jonesing for some new music. I like a relatively wide variety of music, minus country, disco and head banging. My husband often says I like chick music. Hehe. I am unsure if I want to download fast music for work outs, or something more meaningful to get my mind into the work out. At times I listen to "Live Like You were Dying (Tim McGraw...the one exception to my no country music), "Me" (Paula Cole, "Suddenly I See "(KT Tungstall) and then misc stuff by the Killers. Anyway, have any work out music you love? Let me know.

Thanks
Angie

Angie
I am hearing impaired so I can't wear my hearing aid while working out otherwise the aid would fall off I do listen to music, though. I listen to heavy rock and metal music like Sonic Syndicate, Disturbed, Nightwish and Within Temptation so it's very fast and has a good beat to it. I do find that when I'm walking with my iPod on, I walk faster than usual without my iPod.

If I COULD wear my hearing aid while working out, I wouldn't listen to music because I tend to use exercise DVDs and use my mam's Gazelle rider so with my music tastes, it would be difficult for me to keep up with the music beats Although, I think it would be great if you put your MP3 player or iPod while walking or jogging. It's more fun listening to music!

Angie: Thanks for the BUTT kicking and I dont think anyone here is mean or meaning to be harsh. Loosing weight is a reality and sometimes when I get down I know yall will help me right back up!

Dogpal: Love ya girl..take care of that back

Debbie54: I am still looking for a scale that goes up to 400lbs before our weigh in!

To everyone: I truley have a place in my heart for each of my 3FC sisters. I hate ranting sometimes but I know that yall understand and will kick my butt back into gear. I will try and not rant so much..and be more positive. I ordered the Richard Simmons DVD from netflix. I may not have a treadmill right now. but I know I can do Richard. ALSO I have to track everything so I am looking for a scale that goes up to 400lbs. Also working on my calendar.

Much love ladies!!

I know how you feel! I hate ranting but I seem to bring myself to ranting a lot lately and I really hate it I'm usually a very happy and cheerful person so I really hate to be a total downer to everyone on this forum. I would like to thank you because I already have another New Year's resolution, to be able to minimise my rants as much as possible!

I hope you will enjoy the Richard Simmons DVD once it arrives. I think my mam (Ammi) has it but I'm not sure because she has loads of exercise DVDs

I wish you a very merry Christmas!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Tomorrow the kids will be over and it's our Christmas day since they go to her parents for Christmas Day. Jim has to also go to work Christmas Day night so it's best we have our Christmas Day, on Christmas Eve. All the goodies have been made, the roast is done (sandwiches for tomorrow) and the house is pretty much done as far as cleaning goes. Just touch ups here and there in the morning. We still have snow so we will have a white Christmas. Just beautiful!!

So to all my chickies, may we all be merry and have a wonderful Christmas. Let us not forget the real reason for the season.

Merry Christmas to you! I hope that you will have a wonderful Christmas. Although I have to say that I'm green with envy because you are having a white Christmas! I would love it if it actually snowed here for Christmas. It would be a miracle

Beth, We have about a foot of snow in the yard with the weatherman saying there is more to come! You may have half of mine if you like.
We will have cleaning to do tomorrow, the big dinner is on Christmas Day this year as no one is coming over. It is just us, my two sons and one daughter home from college. My older married daughters are staying home and getting together as they live in the same town. Hopefully we will go see them on Friday if the weather is not blizzardy or bad.

Oh lord, here it is 6 friggin' in the AM and I got up about half an hour ago. Waking up, so much to do today. Gotta make cupcakes, that my oven will probably destroy lol (it burns everything as the temp gauge is busted), but I'm going to give it a go. Then I have to decorate said cupcakes, then I have to get everything together; a giant list of produce and what not to bring to this family get together because tomorrow I have to be up at the crack of dawn to get there early so I can cook a turkey that is TOO SMALL for 10 people lol.

We are driving to a family thing today and there we are making a few things for tomorrow. Driving back home so I can cook in the wee hours of the night, then driving back to said family thing the next day lol. Tomorrow though I just need to get up and get going, so that isn't so bad. I'm not even going to put makeup on until we get there lol. What's the point when you have to wrestle with a turkey and people who think they know how to cook one? lol

But you know what? HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THAT GOOD JAZZ! Don't go nuts with the meal ladies and remember *SUPPORTIVE HUGS*

Okay, I might go a little nuts if my cupcakes turn out...lol

Update on my brother_ His health is the same but he isnt going to get to be moved to his home town hospital. He will be in need of intensive therapy along with his kidney stuff. The hospital in our hometown wont take him. HIs dr is checking into other hospitals closer to home. He is 3 hours from home right now. I could hear the sadness in my moms voice last night when she told me.
My older daughter guy fell out of a deerstand yesterday. He thinks its about 20ft up. He will see a bone specialist today for his foot and elbow. So my daughter didnt make it home last night. Hopefully she will make it today at some point. Looks like he might still be in a boot at the wedding in 8 weeks....
After finishing up my wrapping yesterday I realised my dil was short a gift. So i have to go out today and take care of that.
I got all my pies made yesterday and ate a tiny slice of one..
hugs to all and merry christmas!

Hello all my dear old friends and new members.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
2008 has been another crazy year.
While away, I've not gained any weight. HOORAY! And have actually lost another 12 pounds. Now, I should mention, that I've been going up and down with the same 10 pounds for forever. Then, I lost the twelve and have stayed there for a couple months now. We all know how hard this time of the year is so I thought I should get my butt back here so my weight is down in the spring and not up.
I'll never make my goal by September 23, 2009 of 150 pounds, but, I'm still at a lower weight than I was when I first came here. I have developed diabetes this past summer. I'm taking pills for it. But, it's not been good lately. Anyway, take care everyone and have a wonderful holiday season.

Beth, yes it really is beautiful when it's all white. The only problem today is that it's really coming down heavy so I don't know if my son and dil will be able to get back here. We live at the end of a gravel road, and the county doesn't take care of it, we have to, so right now I don't even know if we can get out to go get them! It is indeed beautiful though. I wish I could send some your way!!

Jacquie, good luck with your cupcakes. Take some deep breaths and just remember what the season is all about. Who cares if the cupcakes don't turn out and there isn't enough turkey!! The point is, is to be with family and have a good time!!

Debi, sorry that your brother couldn't make it closer to home. Hopefully he will be able to soon! :hugs: Glad to hear that your future sil didn't get hurt any worse than he did. Decorate his boot up real pretty for the wedding!!

Sandy!!! So good to see you again and you've done great by losing 12 more pounds while away!!! Keep coming back, we miss ya lots!!

Well, as I wrote to Beth, we are getting tons of snow right now. It's just blowing big time. First time I ever saw it at the bottom of my windows and stayed. They said 1-6 inches, but I thiink we are going to get another foot or so. I think I've had enough of this white stuff though. LOL!!
Be safe ladies, and Merry Christmas!

Debbie
