kisskiss ~ Isn't it great to go on trips where you think you gained by the way you ate only to be pleasantly surprised? That happened to me with Vegas last month, haha!
Lianna ~ Ah thanks SO much for the tips! Yeah, I still felt a little sick after taking it a second time and that was after food, though I didn't actually throw it up that time. I'll definitely keep that in mind!

So I totally had one of those eating days yesterday where although I stayed on plan, I felt like I ate quite badly. LOL. Weird concept, I know. I guess I'm just so used to majority of my good meals being prepped at home (and the fact that pot pies are like 278492302801 calories ), but I guess the fact that it was still low sugar might have helped to contribute to the fact that I still lost a little.
But now it's the weekend. And with my sister baking cupcakes for a family dinner tonight? I sure hope I can avoid wanting a bite!
I suddenly wonder if I'll make my Halloween goal. It was realistic when I started, now... with the slow progress... it's not going to happen.
I'm right there with you (actually, we're even right next to each other on the most recent chart!) But we can do this. Giving up won't help anything, right? So let's just keep pushing forward.
I think I'm going to go to the Goodwill tonight to start looking at costumes! Apparently they have a huge costume section this year. Gotta do something to keep me motivated because the scale certainly isn't.
Riestrella Thanks for keeping the charts updated!

having a minor disagreement with the scale this week. -_-;
accidentally ate 1/2 of todays calories in cashews as a snack. this is why I generally put things into individual baggies... *smh*
my halloween goal is looking unlikely at this rate. 8lbs in 6 weeks...doesn't sound like much, but man. going back to work has thrown a monkey wrench in my exercise and eating plans. i was lucky to get this started over the summer when I had the luxury of free time.
Hey everyone, seems a few of you are a bit concerned about not making your goal. Just to let you know, you can change your goal at any time in the challenge. We all start these challenges feeling a bit ambitious, I know my original goal was to lose 10 lbs but now it's dropped to 8 lbs!
I've been offered a temp job as a receptionist for a couple of weeks starting Monday. I've never done it before but I'm sure it'll be ok, I'm just not looking forward to working 9-5 I haven't done it since February!
I'm taking a maintenance break until Sept. 29. I'll still post my weekly weigh-in on here (it will help keep me in check so I don't gain!), and I'll revisit my goal after that. I am just so frustrated with being 186-189 for the past two months it seems! Time to make a change. Hope this works.
I hit my original goal today (which was my ultimate goal weight) and wound up lowering my goal for the challenge a bit. Really at this point my goal is body fat % not weight, but... we'll see what happens
I love the challenge but school and work makes me a busy gal.
When I first started losing weight I thought that I would freak out when the time came to be losing less than 2lbs a week but, surprisingly it's not that bad. I mean, I am here, I'm getting fitter, clothes fit better, I'm noticing a 5lb loss more than I was ever before and I just feel really good even though it feels like the scale is crawling.
Also got my squats and rows up to 70lbs, but I'm only benching the bar which is 45lbs. Trying to remember that strength training might slow the losses a bit.
Still thinking my goal of 185lbs by Halloween is possible.
We're all doing great btw! I promise at some point I'll come back and read through some posts and catch up, probably this evening after work.
Congrats, underanalysis! Good luck with your adjusted goal as well!
144.8 this morning! Hmmmph, scale just wants to be nice on non-weigh days. Hahaha. I'm not complaining though, because that's what my weight was when I met the bf...meaning my ~5lb gain is GONE! BYE BYE!
Our family is eating out tonight though, so I don't expect this to stick. Wheeeee mushroom pizza, I'm so excited! Gah, such a foodie.
Just started the challenge! A little late, but it's ok.
I've fallen off the weight loss bandwagon several months ago, so let's hope a challenge will keep me in line.
I finally got under that pesky 193lbs, albeit by .5lbs, but I am looking forward to getting out of the 190's!
I'm hoping to see 190lbs this weekend.
Also, I got my squats up to 75lbs and I am hoping to take them to 80lbs by next week.
Watched a really great documentary called "Fed Up". I think people are finally wising up to some of the current issues our society has with food, although I doubt we'll 'clear everything up' in my lifetime.
