The thing that gets me moving lately is the number on my Bodybugg display. That little device has been the single biggest factor in my success thus far.

audri8301- I know something like that would totally get me going too. I just haven't splurged on anything in awhile. I really should.

I'm certain that my health problems will continue to go away if I choose a healthier lifestyle. That alone is a huge motivation for myself.

Another motivation is having someone to go to the gym with. It means I can't back out since I'll be letting my gym partner down as well. We're there to support each other.

Another motivation is that I'm getting married this summer. I have some photos of me in my dress when I first tried it on and I really want to improve how I look in it before we tie the knot this summer. I also want to be in a bikini when we're on our honeymoon!!

I certainly do miss having a partner or classes to go to where people expect to see you. That really helps me too.

Congrats on your wedding! Those pictures will make great before and after pictures. Especially since the afters will be your beautiful wedding pictures.

im not sure what, when i was running (when it was nicer outside) what would keep me running was the group of skinny girls that would run together and everytime they would run past me I would remember my goal and how badly i wanted it!

KayNicole/mandalin82 - So excited I found this thread! I'm planning to do the Warrior Dash here in Sept - that's my motivation for working out right now, because I'm not nearly badass enough yet to do it

smisen- I know how you feel! I can still barely run a 5k let alone one with crazy obstacles. lol I told a friend I plan on taking good care of myself all year just to beat the crap out of myself in Oct. I can't wait.

Amanda- we signed up for the 29th at 2. If you guys are there on Sat. hopefully we can cross paths.

i often find myself in the same predicament. i can be the queen of excuses, especially when it comes to exercise...
lately, i've been telling myself that by working out, i'm showing myself that i care and respect my body (and myself in general) because i'm taking care of it. that usually gets me off my butt

The hardest part for me is just the first step. So when I wake up in the morning I put on my work out clothes first. Then after I take my son to daycare I have no excuses not to get my butt to the gym. I don't even have to go out of my way because the gym is on my way home from daycare. Also If I REALLY need a boost I buy new work out pants or a new work out shirt. I love work out clothes for some reason.

I love workout clothes too!!! I seriously think my favorite part of Target is the workout area. During the weekend, I will usually sleep in my workout clothes so that all I have to do when I wake up is brush my teeth, put my hair up, and go to the gym. It really makes it easier to just go. Once I'm there, I'm usually good for working out...it's just getting there (especially if my routine gets screwed up a bit).
