Chellez- Maybe I am confused! On your original post where we place our WI, it only has 12 weeks, with the last weigh-in due on 3/26....that's why I thought it was done! Please let me know if I need to weight myself next Monday as well.
Ok. Now that I have some time to get things together, let me correct myself on a misunderstanding that is raising alot of questions.
The challenge started on December 31st, and I know I had said that we were going to use the weights that all of you PM'd me as your starting weight. Because that weight is totally inaccurate for some, it's going to throw the numbers off really bad for week one. So this is how I would like to correct my boo boo.
We all need to remove our "starting weight" section from our stats threads that we made. That number was used to make the teams and is now no longer necessary. (Don't ask me why I didn't think of this sooner)
For Week 1, enter in your weight for the week of 12/31/06 to 1/6/06. This will ultimately be your "challenge starting weight." Because of this, there will not be a winning team this week.
You will then continue to enter your weights like normal for the remainder of the challenge.
After Week 12, there will be a finale week (3/25 to 3/31) and that's going to be the final push to victory. Adding this week makes a full 12 weeks of competition where as leaving the finale week off only makes it 11.
Follow me so far?
So here's what your stats threads should look like now that I've made this change:
Hopefully this eases minds and answers a lot of questions. If you have anything else that needs to be ask, just post it here or PM me.
I posted this in the FAQ right after the challenge began. I figured I'd quote it because more than likely the FAQ will be deleted before the end of the day.
Yes. Both teams need to weigh in by next Monday for finale week.
Oh man... I was away on vacation, and had no access to a computer or internet. I didn't even think that it would be a problem until Mondays rolled around and I realized I couldn't get to the boards... Sorry ladies!
Since it's finale week, I'm holding off on posting my results until Monday, want to make sure I get every last ounce in - especially since KrispieD is chasing me down!
But watch out KrispieD, I've been running like a madwoman this week - with my 10 mile run this morning, I'm over 30 miles for the week, first time I've run that long for an individual run, or for the week.
I'm here and I just got over the flu. BLAH!!!!! 2 kids and a husband who had the flu as well. NOT fun!
I'm sad the challenge is coming to an end. I liked our little team. I wish I had done better....but next challenge. Hopefully I'll get into the routine of school, my family and studying. It's amazing the lack of time I have now!
Hey everyone! Babygrant, glad to see you are still around. I know what you mean about being busy (I am a graduate student)!
I am really looking forward to the next challenge though, as I didn't lose a lot this time around. I can't wait to see our results, I wonder who the biggest loser is?????
Well, I had my first 5K race on Saturday, here is my report!
I woke up this morning to rain. I was really hoping that it would be over before the race, and luckily, it was! So, by race time, no rain, and the rain had cooled things down a bit so it wasn't so hot. I was hoping to run the whole 5K, but soon found out that that would not be possible. The course was EXTREMELY hilly! So, I walked up most of the hills and ran the rest. I had started out hoping to come in under 38:00 minutes, but I figured there was no way I would be able to do that with walking so much. But, my finishing time 37:56!!! I was extremely happy with that time considering I had to walk about 1/3 of the time.
I have another 5K on May 5. That course is pretty flat, so I think I can beat my time by a lot!
Good luck Blue Team! I can't wait for the final results!!!
