Man, my life was so much better when I wasn't weighing myself daily. I've been back on Medifast for over a week and while I recorded a slight dip last week, ever since my 5k my weight has been climbing daily. I know it's muscle mass. Even though in the past I didn't buy that argument, my scale that records body composition clearly shows a dip in fat and major uptick in muscle mass over the past three days as I recover from my run. I have such a love/hate relationship with the scale...

I am remaining focussed on smart eating and not letting that number rule my life, but heck it is hard to get such discouraging feedback.

More so than ever... onward and downward...

Good morning everyone

I weighed in at 249.6 this morning, so I've left the 250s group -- it wasn't a long or sad goodbye as I seemed to be the only member -- and I'm happily joining this one. My initial goal is 220, but I know I'll have more work to do after that. My ultimate goal is probably going to be around 170-180, but that's too much for me to think about just yet.

I'm a Keto person, so my way of eating is high fat, low carb and it's been going pretty well. I started August 14 and I'm down 13 pounds so far; others are faster, but I'm happy with this pace and I seldom feel hungry or deprived.

Congrats Angie! I hope to pull out of the 240s this week. I started out today at 240.8 so my "projection" is to be down 2.3 lbs to 238.5 based on my current path. Of course, our bodies have a mind of their own.....but my behaviors will be on track.

OH NO MR BILL! My 3FC ticker disappeared. Hope it comes back.

Ooof. I got discouraged for a little while. Everyone in the group was doing so well, and I wasn't. I let that get in my head, and took a few weeks to spiral. None of my clothes fit me, and I have been too scared to step on the scale. I'm working on my confidence and have made a menu for the week. My husband and I even agreed that if we stray from the menu we each have to put $5 in our change jar.

I'm trying to eat low carb, with my PCOS it's really the only diet change that has worked for me in the past. Does anyone have any good snack ideas when craving get to you? Yesterday I was having carrot slices and cheese. Something sweet would be nice.

Good luck ladies!

I weighed myself this morning. 249 on the dot. I'm not happy about it, but I thought I had gotten back into the mid-250s, so at least I'm still in this decade.

Last night our stove and oven wouldn't light. I'm terrified of doing it manually, and we didn't have much for a cold meal, so we ordered out. Fortunately we didn't over order and only ate what we were hungry for. However this morning the stove and oven worked fine... hahaha

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey everyone! I'm bouncing all around 250 this week, thanks to the return of my period...but I'm still hopeful to be back below it by tomorrow. I'm an eternal optimist.

Grannynancy -- I think I chased you out of the 250 group too, lol...I'm on your heels.

FAtDoesntDefineMe -- I'm not sure if you're okay with fats in your WOE, but I eat 'fat bombs' to satisfy sweet cravings...I'm doing low carb, high fat though (Keto). If that doesn't work you can find some low carb Atkins sweets that might do the trick for you.

Hello. Well after much struggle I clocked in at 239.2 this morning so I commit to fighting to keep myself below 240 then onto the next goal.

Would love to join. I'm "barely" in my 40s as of this morning at 249.5... so I may bounce around the high end for a while. Ultimately my goal is of course to get OUT of my 40s. This "decade" is important because it will also get me out of being category 3 obese if I keep going. Looking forward to working my way out of the 40s here!

There's a ton of posts I wouldn't be able to read through of course, but on the few last ones, congrats to grannynancy on getting to 239, and Angie, my buddy from another thread, great progress so far!

FatDoesntDefineMe, where are you at now?

Hello everyone!

If you look way, way (WAY!) back in this thread, you will see my name. I fell off the wagon, and climbed back up to 270 (eek!) but am at 246.4 as of this morning. I look forward to reading and being motivated with you!

Wanting out of the 240's as well! I'm walking 3.5-7miles most days and what's amazing is how incredibly hard I have to work just to lose! It's slow and can be discouraging, but I'm feeling stronger, so that's something! Would like to speed up the process a bit, but have no idea what to do.

HI everyone! I have been a looooong time lurker for years. I have recently started working on my health and would love to be on this journey with you. I am currently 246 and cant wait to be in the 230s. I have lost so much weight that I have had to half my blood pressure medication twice. I am just on a smidgen and will probably be off of in in the next 10-ish pounds.

Good luck through the holidays. I have my plan for the next week set up. I plan to be pretty strict. I dont trust myself not to binge. Its easier to just not start then to stop. I do have "plan approved" treats regularly though.

If there is anyone else out there trying to get out of the 40s, let me know. We can help eachother through it.

Good evening,
Currently back up to 248.8 lbs. Some of that will be Christmas celebration food, so I'm having a fasting day today. But while I'm in the 240's it will be a nice to have a place to hang out in. Right now, with my meal plan in place and exercise in place, I should be losing 2 - 3.5 lbs a week (sounds like a lot, but this will just be this "easy" for about a month for me). I'm hoping to use this place as a way to keep myself centered and focused on the small and big goals.

Hi Angeldove97! I hope we get outta here soon.

Right now I am at 244. Aunt Flo is expected any day, which is why I've seen my weight loss slow down. I stayed on program through the holidays and exercised as well. I am really proud of myself for that. Mostly because I made a decision and stuck with it. I didn't feel sorry for myself, or made excuses to eat crappy food.

My blood pressure is going great. I expect to be off my meds in a few weeks. I am also starting a C25K next week. It's always been a dream of mine to run a 5K, nw I am going to do this, no matter how long it takes.

I'll check in, in a few days. Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! I had a nice drop in weight today, hormonally related. So I am down to 242.8. I am so close to my 10% goal, I cant stand it! Also, I don't know about you. but I am looking forward to being in numbers that seem normal, even if they are still overweight. I will feel much more comfortable in public when I am in the 210s and 220s, as opposed to now. I will feel like I blend in a little more. Anyone else?

crickets, crickets...

lol
