Well today didn't go as well as planned...I'll hit the grocery store tomorrow, and I never did get around to making that soup, but I have everything i need to make that.
I love the fresh start of a new year, and it always seems like the perfect time to make improvements. I would say that today all I managed to improve was my breakfast, my water intake and my thinking. Tomorrow I'll try to add one more thing.
Rennie -- I can't wait for you to get started too! This must be such an emotional week for you; how are you doing?

Thanks a lot Diana. Still not completely on plan yesterday. I was hoping to start off the year with an on-plan day but I made poor choices late in the evening, as I sometimes do.
On the upside I did go for a jog yesterday (the longest course I do these days, 4.7 miles) and later walked a couple miles as well.
Alas - Holding at 167 still. Today will be an on-plan day.

I weighed-in at 169.9lbs so at least I'm back in the 160... although barely. I'm hoping sometime by the end of the week I can see 168... one can dream, right?
Carter I also had not the most on-plan day yesterday but it was our last day of celebrating with friends so now life is finally back to normal!

Okay, today was supposed to be the first day of normalcy, but my train to work is still on holiday schedule, so I'm working from home. And I've got one last dinner out tonight. My brother in law is here from LA, so my SIL wants us all to go out to dinner. The good news is that we're going to a place where I can have a lot of control over what I eat. Essentially, it's a marketplace type of restaurant, has a bunch of stations, all fresh ingredients (Angie, I'm going to Richtree Marche, I'm sure you know it).
Today's weigh in is at 197.1 - so down 2 lbs of what I'm sure was water weight from all that I drank on NYE.
Make it a great day!

Good morning. My small changes yesterday made some difference, I'm down 1.2 today to 216.2.
Diana -- I missed you! I'm glad to be back
Carter -- Nice to see you back. Good job on the exercise yesterday!
Ona -- You've done great over the holidays! Were you off plan much, or did you stick pretty close to your routine? Your avatar pic is awesome, you look fantastic!
Running from fat -- Good luck on seeing 168 this week. I'm sure you will manage that.
Kukkie -- I love Marche! Enjoy your dinner, I think there are lots of ways to make great choices there, but many temptations too!

Great WI Angie you're on your way back to doing what you know how to do Thank you I had a fork of dressing, potato salad and pie for Christmas then had to leave out of Mothers kitchen knew i had been good/figured it wouldn't hurt that much cause i had room for it in my daily calories.(really don't want to start developing a mindset like that cause it can get out of hand) But in the further i can see myself having a small dinner like that but I don't want to right now.
My routine is a way of life now so really I'm never off plan.Sometimes i eat too much on plan food(still being a work in progress) but over all I've condition my mind to eat healthy, make the best choice possible in any situation.
I struggle sometimes but know that if i eat this or that what will happen.I think of/look at Certain foods as a drug now,They taste good for a second,I know I'll crave more, things will get out of hand and in the long run,it won't be worth it.Constantly building the mindset of not eating just to eat

Thanks Angie, I sure hope so! Also congrats on getting rid of some of that water weight.
OnaMi that's exactly my approach too. I know there are some items that are absolutely like a drug for me and I have little to no self control around them. I've cut those out of my life or only eat them in situations where it's 100% controlled (for instance, cheesecake is like that so once every blue moon my family will buy one slice and split it three ways, I can never make it or buy an entire one!). Once I started doing that I saved so much money AND finally got most of my binging under control.

Good Morning, Everyone!
The night before last, I didn't get enough sleep. I was trying to wash clothes and put things up from our trip. I got to bed at 2:30 AM and woke at 8:30 AM. Last night I was in bed around 12:30, I think. I woke this morning at 10:30! Wow! That's late for me, but I guess I needed the rest.
Calories for yesterday: 1365 +
Weigh In: 152.2
Down: 1.4 pounds

Good morning, everyone! Up a pound, but still in Onederland 9 days in a row!
December 2011 starting weight: 203.4
1-1-2012: 198.2; 1713 calories; 1.5 hr workout
1-2-2012: 199.2
omgzitsmiranda Sorry about your stomach virus, but congrats on your -2.2! Even though it's water weight, something like that can shake your system up enough to lose it for real...
Diana You'll be back down to pre-vacation weight in no time!

I'm definitely in. It's a brand new year and with renewed efforts, a little accountability is a good thing.
