Glad to here it.. I know being sick can really throw you off your cilter (sp) ya know. In the past when I would get sick it would stop my plan and I couldn't recoup from it for months. I hate that I am that kind of person that's and all or nothing type of person. This is one thing I want to change about myself. I want to be able to keep going if I have a huge set back. It's like I'm stuck and can't go anymore. Good example the gym. I used to go about 8 times a week. It never did anything for me because my food was out of control, but I was going. Well, then my sis stopped going and I couldn't go alone, then 8 months later I started going again 4 days a week and my son started school and for some reason I was so used to the habit of putting him in the daycare at the gym I stopped going because I needed to do it the same way I was doing it. So weird that I'm wired that way. Needless to say I have not gone back yet. I do plan on going back I'm just waiting to loose a little more so I can fit into my swimsuits that I have because I do water aerobics.

Anyway I'm ranting. I hope everyone has a great Monday!!

Just when things appear to get back to normal around here, Lin's computer crashes. I am sure she will check in as necessary.

I hope we all do well tomorrow. I, for one, am making sure I have one day of holida and not use it as an excuse to take the whole week off and restart on Sunday.

I am down just a bit more this week. 225.8. I need to up my exercise a bit, I think. Now, I run 3 miles every other day. I think I need to get on that strength training plan sooner rather than later.

Cathi your doing great. I agree one day of holiday. I'm not going to stress too much tomorrow, but every other day is OP all the way. Tomorrow is my weigh in too so hopefully I will have a great weigh in and that will help me get through the holiday.
I have a ton of cleaning to do today and figuring out where everyone is going to sit since I have a small house. Im only planning on 15 people, but sometimes that's hard to accomodate with a 6 seater table..

I hope everyone has a great holiday!! BE SAFE!

Hi guys.. My weigh in was yesterday and I lost 3 pounds. I'm not gonna be around for a few days because apparently I have Pnemonia (sp) I thought it was a simple cold, but I went to urgent care today before the weekend hit and yep one chest xray later I'm bed ridden. I will come back once I feel better. Please send your good vibes this way that I don't gain through all this.

Just a quick check in. Sassy-sure hope you're better soon.

I have been away from the scale as planned but I think I did OK yesterday. I did notice I had less food on my plate than anyone else at the table. I did eat a little of everything and tried to keep it under control.

I went to Kohls at midnight with my cousin and got a few things for my daughter and a sweater for me. My cousin got things she wanted, too. We only went to Kohls and then home.

Today I helped my cousin ( same one ) insulate her attic along with her sister and brother. It was hard to go off plan while doing that!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi, everyone. My scale reads 235 this morning - I hoped for a bigger loss, but at least the numbers are moving in the right direction!

Thanksgiving wasn't horrible for me - except for the 3 glasses of wine I had - oops! I've been 100% on plan since then, however, and have even gotten off my rump and started exercising. The hard part will be incorporating the extra activity into my workweek - and I have evening classes M-T so it truly is difficult to plan workouts for those days.

April, glad you are feeling better -- and Sassy, take care of yourself! Lin, you're doing great! It's so helpful, I think, when "maintainers" share their progress with those of us still working at it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who lost weight in the past and then, once at goal, thought the hard part was over.

Hope everyone has a good week...I am very busy but trying hard to plan meals & not give myself any excuses not to have another "losing" week!

Hey all. Sounds like everyone survived Thanksgiving.
Diva, - I know how you feel about the wine, I didnt overeat, but I definitel overdrank all weekend.

Lin - Glad to hear you are still so disciplined on thanksgiving. Did you try to be extra careful, or was that your normal portion. Did you get your computer fixed?

Sassy - so sad to hear you have pneumonia. I hope you get through it quickly.

April - How are you doing? Did you make it through Thanksgiving?

I made it through the holidays up a lb. But, we partied all weekend. So I call it a wash. With December coming this week, I have to move into winter mode. This includes changing up my routine for the barn chores that increase now. We have 10 horses that need extra caring for in the winter. I am planning to get up early to exercise, then run at night after chores are done. Usually things slow down in the winter, but not here, so much to take care of, family, animals and this year time for myself...

Hi guys!!! I am so glad to be back. Wow did I get sick. It seemed to happen all at once too. I knew I was getting a little cold, but I never knew it was going to be pneumonia. I swear as soon as everyone started leaving for after Thanksgiving dinner and our games I took a nose dive and thought I was going to die... Well, it looks like everyone is doing good. I am a pound up from my 3 pound loss last week, but my weigh in is thursday so hopefully I can break even.

Have a good tuesday!

Sassy - glad you're feeling better. I broke my rule and decided to weigh in today. It was making me nuts! I was 162. That's up a pound from last week when I weighed in for the Thanksgiving challenge. Not too bad. I was out of town from Wed through Tues. There was so much food! (We are all fantastic cooks!) At meals I tried to eat a small portion of anything I wanted. I ate tiny slivers of pie and other desserts. I tried not to eat between meals. We had so many family meals and a birthday celebration, too. The car trips were 8 hours so those meals were packed. Sandwiches and cut veggies. Water. I relied on intuition. It seemed to work! I guess I don't have an excuse now to say I don't know what to do to maintain.

My friend's brother still has my computer. The repair will be free but it took longer than if I took it somewhere. I'll get it back tomorrow. He says it's good to go. Posting from my phone is so tedious. I just had to jump in here, though. Hope everyone has a great December. Sorry I'm not doing any personal comments.

Has anyone heard from AprilSnow? I haven't seen her in any posts, though I am a bit limited without my computer. I sure hope all is OK.

Lin I'm glad you'll be coming back soon and your computer will be fixed. It sounds like you knew what you were doing. Your doing great!! I would have felt the same way as you wanting to weigh in. It's hard for me not to. I feel like it keeps my mind on my weight loss when I weigh in everyday. Good for you and I look forward to hearing from you again. I have not seen April anywhere so not sure what's going on there.

Today is my weigh in and I'm down 3 pounds.. Yay I'm so excited to see the scale move after having pneumonia and a rough week. Glad the week is almost for me!!

I'm back in full force! Computer is like new. And I got a portable hard drive to back up important files and photos, music, etc. I was really afraid I'd lost my photos, but all the information was recovered.

Sassy - great job. Being sick just messes with everything, doesn't it?

Dustdiva - keep up the good work. A loss is a loss. We all want them to be big, but I'll always take whatever I get as long as it's not up!

Way to go, KD! That's pretty impressive, and great momentum going in to the new month.

Plodding along here, just 1 lb. down this week for a reading of 234 on the scale. I can't let myself get upset that I haven't made better progress, though, because I had a perfect storm of stress coming at me from work, school, and personal stuff -- and dealing with that mindfully instead of, um, culinarily, was a major accomplishment.

Meanwhile, the holiday parties have started here already. It would be easy to put my weight-loss plans on hold until the New Year, but I'm determined not to gain this year. This week is my last week of classes, so I'm planning to use the extra time I'll have to work my body, not my brain, for a change.
