Height: 5'6"

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: starting again today. This has been a lifetime journey, though.
Starting Weight: 307
Present Weight: 293
Goal Weight: 180
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Finding balance and putting myself first. All of my past weight loss success has happened when I have ate, slept and breathed weight loss. I was relentless and laser-focused on myself. As soon as I'd introduce some balance, the scale would fly.
Following any specific plan: Richard Simmons Food Mover (had success before)
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Past efforts were always about how I felt - or because someone else wanted me to lose weight. Now I have serious health consequences because of my weight. In the past high blood pressure was not something I had to worry about. I'm still looking for the right medicine a year later.
Anything else you would like to share with us: My most successful weight loss to date was in 2001. Thanks to forums like this one and the Food Mover, I lost 50 pounds in 6 months, bringing me down to 201. I was living in NYC and 9/11 happened. I took in friends who were displaced and put their needs before mine. I've been doing that for more than a decade now. It's absolutely time to stop.
