Default BLD or YOAD

Ok Ladies,

I was starting SBD today until I saw Dr OZ's on Oprah and on Discovery. Now I'm hearing about Bob Greene and BLD! I'm on HBP Meds and my goal is to get off them!! I'm asking for your advice. Which would be better for me to achieve my goal? I need to buy the book for which ever one. Thanks

Judy

I've heard good things about both plans, so it's a tough question! I follow YOAD myself.

I believe that YOAD is much more stringent in terms of eating whole grains and limiting sugars than BLD. Which can make it harder to get set up on and used to. However, speaking from personal experience, once you get yourself set, it's easy from that point on.

I think YOAD will yield better results, especially in terms of belly measurement, but it's tougher to do.

Consumer Reports did a rating a few months back, and I think they rated BLD better because of ease of use.

So, it really depends on you and your tolerance for a really strict way of life - it really is supposed to be ONLY whole wheat everything. But, I personally think it's worth it.

Hopefully some of the BLD will chime in and give you their thoughts on how it's been working for them.

Thanks for your help Cindy. I'm doing YOAD. When I went shopping DH and I started reading labels that did it for me.I also got the book. I also would like to shed about 30 pounds. I know that would help my BP.

Anyone with any input about Best Life Diet?

I'm intrigued by it, but I'm not sure I want to fork out over $50 for a three month subscription to the website... that's a lot of money! I'll definitely try to get the book through the library, but any input about the website?
