Hey Patti.....you are doing so well!!!! Good job! I helped my brother and sister clean my mom's basement yesterday and today I am sore. LOL!!!! What a cardio workout! It is supposed to get cold by Tuesday but I think Patti has already had snow in Canada. Stay strong!

Thanks for starting the November thread Kim! Patti - say it isn't so - snow already???? Yikes!

I'm still struggling with getting my eating on track - I am eating YOAD for breakfast and lunch, but then DH pulls me off the wagon either for dinner or after dinner. And, I just follow his lead...

The time change should help - I'm going to get my behind to the gym starting this week. Even if I just do 20 minutes on the treadmill, it's better than nothing. I'm hoping that some activity will help me to keep my food under control.

Hi everyone, I don't post here often but just wanted to report my 50lb loss today after following YOAD for 5 months. This way of eating is amazing and so healthy. I am loving it. Three things that have helped me the most:
1. Steel Cut Oatmeal every day for breakfast. This is a miracle food for me. I swear it has eliminated my uncontrollable food cravings.
2. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I'm up to an hour most days but the commitment I made to do at least 30 minutes 6 days a week has been life changing.
3. U-turns. I don't know why this works so well but it does. In the past I would ruin a whole day after one mistake and that would often turn into a whole week or more until I was completely off my diet plan. A U-turn is so simple and non-judgmental. Somehow just thinking that word when I mess up gets me right back on track. I love you YOAD!

Hello everyone! I officially started YOAD after easing into it for the past couple days. I had an apple and fiber one for breakfast but for lunch I had a chicken breast sandwich on wheat bread with spinach and mustard. As well as yogurt and fresh raspberries. I need to find a lunch I can 'stick' with but I love to change it up!

For snack I had Fage 0% Greek Yogurt with 2 tbs of chopped walnuts.

I do weight watchers and I must admit these food choices are making my points pretty good!

FITIN- CONGRATS ON 50 LBS!! and- i agree about the YOU-turn. I told my friend about the mantra and she thought is was a great idea. Hows the book put it?
"At any time you are authorized to make a YOU-turn."

Hey everyone
I was up .5 of apound this week...its been awhile since I had a gain. I wont take it too hard. Next week will just be a bigger loss. The bad thing was I was up to 280 and I was hoping to say goodbye to that decade forever. That sucked. Dh adn I went for a great walk today ... on to this week.

Patti.....we can do this. We just take it one day at a time and remain focused. I am not sure why I overeat or eat the wrong things but I will have to work that out as I go along. I am going to strive each day to remain true to YOU. I am up 2lbs this week so I am almost starting over again.

I had a great day eating wise today...I had yogurt for breakfast with kiwi, lunch was tomato soup and supper was a fantastic greek salad, brown rice and corn on the cob..sounds like a strange combo but it tasted fantastic! Have any of you tried the microwave brown rice..its made by Uncle Bens...mmmm its so easy 2 mins in the microwave and its done! So easy and quick

Hi gals - I'm back home from my St. Louis road-trip adventure. We flew out there Friday to pick up a car which we then drove back - up through Michigan, across Canada, then across NY. Broke the trip into two days, Saturday and today, then had Sunday to visit with friends and family a bit yesterday. Busy, busy weekend. Needless to say, food was *not* good.

But, tomorrow I'l be making a huge U-turn and getting things back on track.

I'm exhausted, so I'll cut this short - talk to you gals later!
