Are you ready for another week of working out? I am, I always feel better when I do.

I walked tonight and plan on walking the rest of the week, weather permitting.

Red face

Hi gang,

I did my water class yesterday (moved to the deep end for a heartier workout). I am just too pooped to do anything else today. Water class again in the AM and Friday. Maybe this first week of the semester it's just too much to ask of myself to stress over adding another 3 workout sessions.

My struggle is that T/TH I have an 8AM class and a 25 mile rush hour commute. I know that isn't much compared to some parts of the country, but it's enough for me! I know it would be better to add my balance ball dvd to the beginning of the day, but I'd have to get up sooooooo early (already get up at 6:15 on those days).

I am NOT a morning person and struggle to get myself to bed before 11 even when I am really tired. My DH works the 2nd shift and gets home just after midnight. Sometimes I stay up because I haven't seen him for a couple days!

Of course the evening workout suffers on days like today, when I am so tired and still need to make and/or eat dinner.

Here I am whining and I know some of you have children at home, work tighter schedules, etc., but this is where I am.

(whining in MO)

Hello everyone!!! Over the course of today, I walked 7 miles!!!! I did 3 on the treadmill for my normal workout - and then we have 2 of our friends who are getting married next October and want to lose weight, so they wanted to walk with us tonight around the lake - so that helped me put in 4 more miles! I am 1 mile from my Labor Day workout goal!!!!!! That's just NUTS!

Hi everyone! Well I didn't get much exercise in last night! My husband is sick and last night he was not well at all! I was to afraid to leave him! Today I am off, I have to go for an ultrasound and he has to go for his routine blood work! Hopefully, from noon on, I'll be able to focus and I'll get some walking in!

LondonJulz - 7 miles! Wow! Now I'm embarassed that I posted my 1 mile! lol! Just kidding!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi ladies

Jeanne don't feel bad it rained here yesterday and it was way to soggy for me to walk. I am not complaining about the rain, we need it, but I also need to exercise...lol. Maybe mother nature will be good to me today and allow my walk.

WTG London 7 miles is great!!!!! Keep it up!!!

ruthannie glad to see your so busy too!!

YAY, I met my Labor Day walking goal today!!!!!!
I only have a few more minutes worth of exercise to do to meet that goal as well. So, it's time to start planning my Halloween Exercise goals... I love making mini-goals!!

Just got in from our nightly walk.... I think the hubby needs to give me a leg massage now! I've really got to step up on my water intake though.... right now I have the PMS bloat, but I can't hide behind that forever as a reason for not losing weight....

Well as August winds to a close, I can say I DID up the ante in water aerobics by going 3 days instead of 2 and now moving into the deep water for a bigger calorie burn and a better core workout.

Still need add the balance ball/pilates- that will be my September goal- to do that workout at LEAST 2x and preferably 3.

Ruthannie - I wish we had a pool close by so I could do water aerobics! My sister has a pool where she lives in Atlanta, and when we went down there in June, we stayed for 4 days, I went to the pool everyday - and swam laps and did the running in the pool. It felt like the best workout I had ever gotten - but, sadly, we don't have a pool close by.... another thing I like is that you're in water, so you stay cool for the most part...

I love it!

Swimming (or water activities)
Walking (especially in the woods, desert or other natural place)
Bicycling (hope to get back to this in the next year, i think my butt is too big to fit on a seat right now, i'd probably just tip over!)
yoga (still do some here and there)

Those are the things that kept me healthy when I was younger and somewhat slimmer. I want to get a bike next spring, then maybe I can get my partner to go riding with me too.
