Default The 20 days of Christmas Challenge

It's my 20 days of Xmas Challenge!! I guess if no one else joins, I'll challenge myself, but I will check in once a week here (on Saturdays when I should be asleep).

I thought we could create a goal (weight or not weight related) or 2 to help us get thru the holidays gain-free!

My goals are:
1. JOURNAL honestly for the next 20 days (including those oh-so-yummy peppermint mochas at Starbucks...yikes)

2. Workout 3x/week on the new elliptical DH bought me!!

I'll be a happy girl on xmas morning when I treat myself to some Bernard Callibault Chocolate if I do this from now til then!!

Come out and play!!!

Thumbs up Hi! i would love to join with you!!

Hi I am new to this group, however the challenge sounds great! I will tell you a little about myself. My name is Lori . I am a stay at home mom to 3 girls Emily who is almost 7 ( her birthday is Dec 13th), Madelyn , who is 3 and our newest one Abigail who is 1. My dh Jim is very supportive of my efforts to make a change , even though sometimes he can make it hard to follow the program. Enough about me.... i love the idea of journaling honestly for 20 days. I will add to my challenge exercise videos I have a choice of the Firm set or Taebo and I will do these 3 times a week on Mon, Wed, & Fri. On Tues & thurs when my oldest is in school and the middle one is at preschool from 9 until 11:30 I will take the baby and walk the mall since it is too cold out now to walk in the neighborhood now. I need to add a water challenge into mine since I am not so good at getting enough water. I am just shooting for the suggested amount of 8 glasses a day (8oz). My treat on Christmas morning will be to have 1 gingerbread waffle with reg syrup along with the turkey sausage we will cook.
How does this sound??? Does it sound like too much??

Cool

I would like to be in on this challenge! Although I don't have any "pre-Christmas" events to attend (as of yet) I do need some extra motivation. I am so close to my goal, yet I am having trouble staying on track. My goals during this challenge will be:

#1. TRACK my points at least 5days/week on paper.
#2. Exercise at least 4days/week even if I don't have time to get to the gym.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN THE CHALLENGE!!!

Talking

In order for me to stay on track with this challenge I am going to try to post daily...otherwise it may be off the wagon I go!

Today has been good so far. I have tracked my points so far and although I did not make it to the gym like I intended (spent a good 4hrs running between the doc office & hospital due to wrist problems) I did just do one of my Leslie Sansone's ShortCuts videos(man are my abs going to hurt tomorrow!!!)

I haven't had supper yet, but it shouldn't be a prob to stay OP as I have only used 5 of my 22 so far today.

HOPE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING GOOD! I LOOK FORWARD TO READING YOUR UPDATES!

Talking New Joiner up for the challenge

I just "Re" Joined WW last Saturday and really excited about it. I think this challenge would be fun because I know I am wondering how well I will do over christmas. I am an avid baker and cook over the holidays, making upwards of 20 to 40 dozen cookies for gitfs and such. My treat when I get through the holidays, will be 1 slice of my families french toast casserole with real syrup. I look forward to talking to you all soon!!

I know, Nepeta, they are killer. I had one today; I did have low-fat, no whip, but nonetheless....I did count it!

I have been a good girl. Of course, nursing I get to eat more points and can still lose weight (10 more points for nursing moms!!). But it's SLOW GO. I have been on since August and have lost only 12lbs...but nice to eat a bit more

I have a cookie exchange coming up. I don't want to NOT participate in it, but I don't need 4 dozen cookies either! I guess I'll give them to my husband to take to work. We don't have a deepfreeze so I can't even freeze them.

Lori - Gingerbread waffles sound DIVINE!!! YUMMMMMMM got the recipe?? My baby's name is Eve Madeleine Lily (we call her Evie Madeleine) She is 24 weeks old.

Kierie - it TOTALLY SUCK at water too, but I am trying really hard!!! I need to drink more nursing anyway, and I drink not enough (however, give me a peppermint mocha, I can suck it back).

Tracie - how'd it go yesterday??

Welcome back to WW Jennpsu (Just Jenn??)!!

Well, I better go - Evie is sleeping and I should be too. She as given up napping it seems, so I am a tired mommy (to a grouchy baby!!).

BBL tomorrow...

Today went really well. I started my day off by waiting and the hospital and then running out of time before the doc could get to me, so I will have to try again tomorrow morning...(I have to get an injection of prednizone in my wrist joint :-S )

I had my interview...AND got the job!! Start Thursday...teaching grade 8 ...

I admit I did NOT get to my workout today...gym or videos...I will make it up tomorrow. I did do my track and stayed on point.

Went to WI this p.m. ... down 1.2 ... for a grand total of 80lbs since January!!!WAHOO!!!

HOPE YOU GUYS ARE DOING GOOD!!!

I was beginning to wonder...why don't I have this addictition to this "mint chocolate drinkie thing" then I remembered ... I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest Starbucks is over an hour away!! Guess I will stick to my Lite prepackage hotchocolate mix!! lol

Default Keep on Keeping on

Hi everyone!
Another day goes by and still have not given into the temtation of the Christmas cookie monster. They are piling up at home and at work, but I try to remember that feeling thin will taste better than the cookie

Your Daugthers name "Evie Madeline" Thats beautiful. I do not have any children yet, but soon hopefully. I will be getting married this time next year (another reason to get thin again) and babies probably soon after.

I admire the multi-tasking that many of you do with WW and Taking care of children. Keep it up!!!!

Look forward to keeping up with everyone

PS
Im going to get a pepermint mocha I forgot how good they were

I agree with Jennspu! You ones with kids are amazing! I have watched my sister struggle with WW and having kids the last couple years and it takes a lot of strength!!

I am in a similar situation to Jennspu as well, although a bit ahead ... I just got married in October and am trying to get to my goal weight and lifetime membership before we start trying to have kids. I also need to get enough hours in so that I can recieve maternity benefits when the time comes!!

HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE!!

so next time I am in the city I need to try a peppermint mocha?!? maybe I am an oddball that doesn't even appeal to me...mint YES Mocha definitely...together..ah...lol...Enjoy yours tho Jennspu!

Unhappy

Well today was NOT a great day. It wasn't a complete disaster, but it just wasn't as good as it could have been. Another day with out exercise...I had my prednisone injection in my wrist this a.m. and although I have a fairly high tolerance for pain...I have been unable to do much of anything today...tearing lettuce for a salad tonite was a big ordeal...I am in agony. Hopefully it improves.

I did track my points. I have used them all, but am going to use a few flex points this evening and treat myself to a "Turtles" hot chocolate. I am in pain and I am sarting to stress about my first day at my new teaching job tomorrow, I need chocolate and this is the closest thing in my house.

Hope the rest of you have had a better day. If not you can climb back on the horse with me in the morning!!
