It was beautiful here today and I got out and checked out the damage from the winter. Everything is pretty much in order but sometime over the winter the shed key went missing and the rabbits ringed some of my rose bushes. I will cut them down to the ground and hope they will come up again. I bought some giant pansies for the 2 planters at the front.
I have been busy most evenings trying to clean up and get the house into shape in the event that I will have to put it up for sale. I should know within the next couple of months.
Both boys are working hard at school and their jobs. It sure is quiet here Fri and Sat evening. I was hoping that maybe I could check out curves in the evening but they close at 7 on Fri and 1 on Sat. Rats.
I have been trying the cabbage for 4 nights now and since my asthma comes and goes I can't be sure if it is helping, but I have slept right through the night for all 4 nights and that is very unusual for me.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Thumbs up

Hello Old Friends--Not that you are old, but I am feeling that way. I'm ready to give dieting another try. I have decided WW is the way to go--It fits the way I live & eat. I tried Atkins (lost some weight) but found I missed eating fruit--not potatoes & bread, but fruit.

The nice thing is that you guys are still here & hopefully I'll be welcome to rejoin. You are much more faithful than I. I see Tina, Susan, Tammy, Sis. I have moved twice (2 different states) since I was here last, so went from WI to OH to IN. I was amazed that I remembered my password to sign in. -- Maybe I'm not so old after all.

Thanks everyone for being here yet.

Loodie

Loodie-
Welcome, welcome, welcome----back
We are so happy to have you with us again.
Yep, I'm still trying to lose. Instead, I gained some and have been trying to get rid of it. My doctor says age and hormones have a lot to do with it. That's real encouragement, isn't it.
You've been movin' around a lot. Stay here with us and help all of us lose pounds.

OK Loodie! Where in Indiana? Maybe we're closer than we were in Ohio! I'm almost to the Indiana border. Close to Richmond, Indiana.

I have to go grade papers. I don't know why I always put it off.

Hi Everyone,
It's been a beautiful day here. I did plant a few plants and then sat in the swing for awhile just listening to the birds sing. It was so relaxing. Pat got home around 12:30, I'm glad he is home. I know it was a short trip but it's the first time I've been alone since Seamus died.

We went and had pizza for lunch today. I only have 7 points left for the week and I have to make it until Friday. OOPS!!! I wish it was as easy to lose as it is to gain!!!

Thank you all for the really warm welcome. It has just been really nice here the last few days. Hubbie planted flowers in my front plot, so now it really looks like Summer is coming.

Tammy--we are close! I was living near Dayton OH (working in Cincinnati) & was relocated to the Indianapolis office, so I live in Indianapolis & work here & my hubby lives near Dayton & works there. We travel on the weekends. I go there one weekend & he comes here the next--so I go thru Richmond every other weekend.

I am just going through my old WW stuff to refresh my mind on what has what points--boy am I ever surprised that I remember as much as I do. I just need to get organized now to get journaling & tracking.

Howdy Ya'll,
Hope everyone is doing good. I'm watching Good Morning America and they are talking about the bombing in Oklahoma City. They are interviewing the mother of the baby that the fire fighter was carrying. It just breaks my heart even 10 years later.

I've decided to put an application in the district where I worked last year. I'm going to see if I can get a kinder job for next year. It will be different and I've taught it before. I don't know if the deaf ed job is going to come through and I don't want to just sit and wait and have nothing.

Hope you have a great day.

Good morning all,
Instead of getting on the ole treadmill, I've been outside in this beautiful weather working in the backyard. There are these disgusting weeds that always come up against the fence. I've pulled a lot---there are so many that no one but me could tell any are gone.
Susan, I'm sorry you don't think the deaf ed job will come thru. That's your true love, I know. But, better be safe than sorry about getting some job. I just wish you could have what you wanted!
Tammy, how many more weeks of school? I bet you are already counting them down.
Sis, how is your weather? When does your Spring actually start?
Mimi, I hope you have less stress in your life this week.
Loodie, that's horrible that you and your husband have to live apart because of work. How are the gasoline prices up there? I bet you spend a bundle. I pay $2.23 a gallon for the medium priced gas.
Motts, Christine, Tina637, Rosalita, and all you others out there---Maureen---please post and let us know what's going on with you.

Tina,
If you need more weeds to pull come on up, I have a ton in my garden. I pull as fast as I can but they keep mulitplying.

Deaf ed is my love. I don't know if a job will come through or not but I'm a little anxious and waiting is not always one of my best qualities. I figured I better at least put in an application here so I don't miss out on something in McKinney. Pat is so sweet, he says "don't worry about it, I don't even care if you work at all." I'm stressing myself out about it.

Welcome loodie I lurk around here and sometimes put my 2 cents in. WW has added the new core part of the program. A few have tried it, not me though.
Susan good luck on the other job. Its good to keep busy just not too.
Tammy it was beautiful here the last few days too, maybe spring, but maybe some snow again for the weekend.

Evening,
Wow, Mimi, I can't believe gas is so high up there. Today, I got some and it was a whole 3 cents less! I was excited until I realized what i was thinking----it's still too high!
It was another pretty day here. I was baaaad and didn't exercise. I had to take the cat to the vet's to get weighed. He was up a few ounces. Then, I had a hair cut appointment. Oh the joy of short hair.
I will make up for today, tomorrow. I'll get on that treadmill and go!

Does anyone still go to Curves? People used to go.
Susan, are you feeling any better yet?

Tina

Oh my, gas is so high there Mimi!

I still go to Curves. I actually went today and yesterday. I'm having a hard time making it 2 times around since I've been sick. I made it one time yesterday and 1 and 1/2 today. Tomorrow I'll try for 2 times. I am finally feeling better. I finished my antibiotics today so we'll see if I stay well now. I sure hope so.

Talk about being bad..... I had an eclair today. I stopped at 7-11 and the lady gave me one. I should have said "NO" and was going to give it away but it some how found it's way into my mouth!!!!!! I might have to skip weigh in this week.

Ooooh, Susan, you must describe that eclair for us. Wow, I can't believe you got one free. You must have been extra charming today.

I've been sneezing for a few days. I just can't do that. Larry is off next week. It seems every time he's off, I get a cold or something. I think I just work too hard beforehand and it catches up with me. Tonight I'll take something.
Susan, good luck feeling better without medicine.
Tammy, how are you doing?????
