Mummy42---Welcome---
We are so happy to have you here with us. This is a wonderful thread. We also have a Thursday Weigh-In Results thread where we post our losses. So, you must visit both.
Have you done WW before? I like the points system myself. I feel better when I can know exactly how much more to eat.
You are more than welcome to stay with us. Not all of us weigh on Thursdays anymore. But we stay here because we've become friends.

Welcome Mummy!
Tina and Tarus; I am sorry to hear about your Mom's there isn't a whole lot they can do for CHF, but with the help of the meds (some strenghen the heart, some help the body eliminate some of the excess fluid) can live a long time (20+ years) My Mom was diagnosed with CHF about 5 years before she finally died of renal failure. Encourage your Mom's to eat well and be as active as possible, my Mom did neither.
Tammy; it sounds like Tim has a great future at college. What is Emmaus? I am thinking of you.
Susan; I pretty much stick to cheerios, shreddies, and all bran. On the weekends I love to make myself old fashioned oatmeal, but it takes too long to cook for weekdays, and I don't like the instant. I have forgiven myself for the almonds, I guess nuts are one of my redlight foods.

Does anyone else have trouble getting the weight tracker to work? When I get to the slider page there is no button to finish. Maybe its just me.

Update: 3FC finally got back to me and I guess the adware, spyware blocker is the problem but I am not going to disable it, so no more tracker for me.

Howdy,

Welcome to the group Mummy! We are a great group if I say so myself. It is very true what Tina said about us having become friends. We are always there for each other through the laughs and tears. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Well, I'm sick AGAIN. I just finished my antibiotics on Monday. I have another sinus infection and I'm hoping the dr. will just call in something for me. I have no voice either. I'm sure Pat will enjoy that when he gets home.

Tina, how are you doing? Are you taking care of yourself? I worry about you and the stress you are under with your mom.

Mimi, I love cherrios and shredded wheat. They are 2 of my favorite kinds of cereal. I have been eating instant grits in the morning and eating it in the car. I've been putting it in a paper cup so I can just throw it away.

Tammy, are you feeling better? How is that wrist feeling?

My brother called this morning and he got engaged this weekend. I'm so happy for him. The wedding will be in June.

Talk to you later.

I love Cheerios, too. You can keep the shredded wheat, though.
Susan, I dearly love grits, too. I love it that you put it in a paper cup. That's a great idea.
Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I'm hanging in there. I don't even want to guess what my blood pressure is now. It's always been so low but now, I don't know.

Tammy, tell us about your talk preview? Were you pleased with it?

Susan, take care of yourself. That's an order!!!!!! Also, congratulations to your brother.

Welcome to Mummy! We weigh on different days of the week, so this is a great place to be. Very supportive crew here.

Mimi, the Walk to Emmaus is a 72 hour weekend. Some people think of it as a spiritual retreat, and I guess in some ways it is. We go to a church on Thursday (April 21) and we leave on Sunday night (April 24). Lots of prayers, talking, laughing, crying, and listening to ministers and lay people give Talks.

I did my preview last night. I was so nervous, and I couldn't stop talking fast! At home it took me over 20 minutes, at the preview it was 15. LOL It really did go well though. I just need to slow down. The people that listened to it told me that I had all of the points from the main outline covered and that my personal experiences went right along with the main points. I guess I must have done it right!

My hand is really bothering me. Today I poked myself with my finger, and it started throbbing. It has now been 2 months since the surgery. Most people that I've talked to told me to give it longer (like 6 months!!). Oh my.

Susan, congratulations to your brother!! Does he want us to sing at his wedding? I know some pretty good songs.

I like Cheerios too. I think they are my favorite. Grits, I can live without. Bob loves them. Icky poo.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome from everyone. I look forward to sharing all my joys and tears as well.

I am new to the whole program and can't wait for the benefits to start paying off, slowly but surely is the only way to do it I have been told, well that is of course if you want the pounds to stay gone.

I am looking forward to starting an exercise program as well. I already use my kids (60lbs and 45lbs) as dumbbells but I guess I better add some cardio in there.

I found the weigh in thread as well and thanks for that tip. Looking forward to posting there on Monday night.

Tammy the Emmaus sounds kind of neat, I have never heard of it before. Make sure you get enough Vit. C it helps build and repair tissues.
Congratulations on the upcoming wedding Susan, do you have any other sisterinlaws?
Tina and Mummy have a good weekend
Happy Easter everyone.

Hi,
Well it's been really quiet around my house. I've had no voice since yesterday afternoon. I called the doctor and she callede in more meds. I hate having allegies and sinus infections.

Tammy, I'm sure my brother would love for ya'll to sing at his wedding.

Mimi, I have 2 brothers and both are divorced. One I still keep in touch with, I've known her since I was in 3rd grade. She's the ex-wife of the brother getting married. My other brother's ex-wife is a b****. She has never been my favorite person nor am I her's.

There is no school tomorrow, I'm glad so hopefully I'll get better. I'll let you know how I do with weigh in. I'm anxious to see if I lost this week on CORE.

Thanks Tina,
I've done little of nothing today. I did clean the house and then haven't done much else. I did take a hour and 1/2 nap. I guess my body really needed it. My best friend Scott called and he has walking pneumonia. The doctor asked him what all had been going on in his life and said "Stress will do it to you".

Happy Day After Easter!
I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I ate sensibly during the Easter dinner.....it was the candy that got me. I was given lots of Russell Stover eggs, which I dutifully ate. Today I am so stuffed and so disgusted with myself.
But, today's a new day!

Susan, you are the only one I know that's sick. I hope you are feeling lots better.
How is everyone else doing?????

Hope everyone had a great Easter! Our's was quiet and very low key. It seems to bet the way holidays are going this year.

I'm finally feeling better, still a little hoarse but much better. I finished my last antibiotic (it was a zpack and will stay in the body for 10 days) yesterday so I hope I stay well. It still doesn't feel like it's gone.

HEY, I LOST 4.2 pounds this week!!! I'm so excited!!!!

Does anyone need their house cleaned????? That's what I've been doing all day. My husband was off Good Friday through yesterday. I hadn't cleaned at all during that time. Everything was dusty or needed vacuuming. I have clothes in the washer and dryer.
Tonight, we're having some thinly sliced boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I found these at the store and they're great! I don't like eating a lot of chicken at one time. These are just right.
Veggies----I'm so sick of veggies. I'm trying hard to eat lots of fruit right now. Grapes are in from Chilie and they're pretty good.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Does anyone still have snow?

OK. Where is the message that I posted yesterday or the day before? I know I typed one. Or at least I think I did! Maybe I dreamed it. Boo hiss.

I made a meat loaf tonight for supper. We hadn't had one in ages. It's one thing that I do well! I know we haven't had one since before my surgery because when I make a meatloaf I get my hands in the bowl and mix everything together. Maybe that's why Bob thought that it was so good this time!!

We did some cleaning over the weekend. Tim got the Christmas lights off of the bushes this afternoon! He was going to do it on Fri. or Sat. but it was raining both days. BUT at least it is done now.

It was beautiful here today. In the 60's, sunshine. I went shopping. Bought a new pair of jeans. Bob was working, and Tim was riding in a police car all day with the police chief of a town about 15 miles from here. He wants to see criminal justice from different aspects to see which part he is really interested in.

Back to school tomorrow. Our break was too short, but aren't they all? Our next scheduled day off is Memorial Day, so it will be a long haul for the kids. I'll be off the end of April for a couple days with the Emmaus, so I'll have something to look forward to.

After church on Sunday, a woman came up and asked me to be on an Emmaus Team in July! I couldn't believe it! I can't since that would be 3 walks in a row. They like to get different people involved. I know I would have had fun, because Deb is a hoot!! BUT I am blessed to be on the April walk with so many awesome women.
